We are seeking an experienced Academic Support Specialist to join our Tuihono UC | UC Online team.In this role, you will be a key player in the design, development, and quality improvement of the team’s academic offerings. You will collaborate with academic leaders, industry partners, and faculty teams to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and design qualification curricula to meet the needs of online learners and align with the University of Canterbury’s strategic goals.
- Implement the academic quality framework across the University’s faculties for UC Online.
- Collaborate with the University’s faculties, service units, external institutions, and industry partners to promote quality, innovation, and external perspectives in the academic environment.
Mōu | Who You Are
To be successful in this role you will have strong experience and a deep understanding of online learning frameworks, and have:
- a positive self-starter with experience to contribute to online course and programme delivery
- 5+ years ‘experience in a similar role
- knowledge of NZ tertiary education and qualification frameworks
- experience developing, testing and implementing innovative solutions for academic processes and quality assurance within online learning environments
- proven stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- demonstrated commitment to Māori values, te reo Māori, and inclusive educational practices.
