Our high retention rate is influenced by a unique compensation program for positions that are more than just jobs – they’re chances to grow, do what you love and build a career with us!Job DescriptionCore Operational ResponsibilitiesReceive and review shipping documents, confirming all required data is complete and accurate before processing.Prepare shipments for departure, including carrier bookings, air waybill (AWB) issuance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.Route shipments effectively based on customer needs, service level, transit time, and cost optimization—selecting appropriate carriers and schedules.Coordinate freight receipt, ensuring timely handoff of cargo at the warehouse or handover from the trucker, verifying physical condition and dimensions.Process shipments end-to-end, from data entry and status updates to customs coordination and final file closure.Monitor shipments proactively to ensure smooth movement from pickup to final delivery, troubleshooting exceptions and providing updates to all relevant parties.Billing and DocumentationEnsure timely and accurate billing by validating charges, reconciling cost vs. revenue, and issuing invoices in accordance with contract terms and customer agreements.Maintain proper documentation for each shipment, ensuring files are audit-ready and compliant with internal standards and customer requirements.Trade ComplianceAdhere to applicable international trade laws and regulations, including IATA, TSA, and local customs guidelines.Support proper classification and screening of shipments (e.g., denied party screening, embargoed countries, restricted commodities).Identify and escalate any potential compliance risks, documentation issues, or discrepancies in a timely manner.Follow SOPs for controlled goods, Dangerous Goods (DG), and temperature-sensitive cargo, collaborating with compliance or customs teams when required.QualificationsWHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU BRING TO US :This section lists desired qualifications for the job and may be edited to the specific job role.
- Global logistics industry knowledge

Product Agent Job-Specific Performance Expectations
- Timely and Accurate Shipment Processing Ensures smooth and timely freight process flow according to Expeditors’ operational procedures. Follows customer’s standard operating procedures and proactively notifies customers of any issues. Consistently meets KPI standards, as per company’s procedures.
- Timely and Accurate Data Entry Ensures accurate and timely data entry into our operational systems according to Expeditors’ operational procedures and customer requirements. Monitors exception reports for quick data integrity resolution.
- Timely and Accurate Billing and Accounting Invoices customers the expected charges timely and accurately and according to Expeditors and customer requirements. Properly provisions service provider charges to avoid reserves. Follows proper credit approval processes in order to minimize risk and protect the company.
