Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.Job Summary:As an -Associate Design Engineer at Caterpillar, you will design, develop, build, and implement new components, products, or technologies. You will be working on new product development projects and providing efficient and high-quality mechanical design solutions, from schematic design, modeling to final drawing release.We have a fabulous team that does some of the most exciting work at Caterpillar, and we can’t wait for you to join the team!!What You Will Do:

• Mechanical systems and components design from concept to series solution
• Create high-quality 3D models according to the design concept
• Create 2D high-quality drawings according to company standards
• Support detailed design work from other team members or clients
• Support internal customers on Product Lifecycle Management tools and processes
• Developing and documenting functional requirements and translating into detail design documents
• Participating in and supporting proposal preparation, cost estimates, and technical reports.
• Develop automation tools to support design study work from clients
• Checking and releasing manufacturing drawings as per the corporate standards

Education requirement:

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Engine, Automobile.

• Applies current procedures and technologies to help resolve technical issues in one’s general area of technical competence.
• Helps others solve technical or procedural problems or issues.
• Apply various new technologies and new materials to update the design and achieve the cost reduction goal of parts.
• Utilize various new technological tools, such as AI tools, etc., to enhance work efficiency.
• Be proficient in using geometric tolerances to design components and parts that meet the actual assembly and usage requirements.

Effective Communications:

• Delivers helpful feedback that focuses on behaviors without offending the recipient.
• Listens to feedback without defensiveness and uses it for own communication effectiveness.
• Makes oral presentations and writes reports needed for own work.
• Avoids technical jargon when inappropriate.
• Looks for and considers non-verbal cues from individuals and groups.

3D Software:

• Assists in designing 3D models using appropriate software.
• Works with the standard features and facilities of 3D software.

Troubleshooting Technical Problems:

• Explains where to locate basic help facilities and troubleshooting guides.
• Discusses basic concepts behind a systematic approach to solving technical problems.
• Identifies available resources and support systems for troubleshooting.
• Describes problem identification, reporting and escalation procedures.
