Allergan Aesthetics | An AbbVie CompanyJob DescriptionFinance Director will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and implementing strategic business initiatives for Allergan Aesthetics(AA) Taiwan and Hong Kong with long-term impact on business growth and profitability improvement. This role must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management, ranging from financial operations to broad investment and cash management operations. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader as an active member of the Aesthetics Taiwan & Hong Kong Leadership team and serve as a trusted advisor to influence and enable operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership across the business by partnering with Commercial towards optimum performance operating in a strong controls environment.
- Act as a strategic partner to support business growth with financial and operational sustainability. Maximize the value of the affiliate through business/finance acumen.
- Build and launch a robust and actionable career development roadmap for key finance commercial finance positions that incorporates key development experiences and capabilities aligned with the finance career journey, building a strong internal pipeline for these roles.
- Meet or exceed annual revenue and margin targets (at budget rates). Focus on financial metrics for sales performance benchmark, PSM KPIs, SG&A effectiveness, and distribution/division margin improvement.
- Strengthen affiliate forecast accuracy and ensure monthly DSO/DOH is at a healthy level.
- Provide timely insights and recommendations by leveraging commercial knowledge, financial data analysis, and business judgment to support the management team.
- Anticipate business risks and develop action plans to mitigate them.
- Oversee Projection/LBE/Plan/LRP process with analytical review of forecasts and development of sensitivities.
- Comprehensive review of monthly/quarterly/annual financial closing and reporting.
- Focus on an agile operating model and efficient distribution under a strong S&OP process to ensure business continuity without supply disruptions and high customer satisfaction.
- Ensure the timely and accurate submission of internal and external reporting requirements.
- Confirm financial decisions and processes are fully compliant with internal and external regulatory bodies and legislation.
- Work with Corporate Internal Audit to develop and implement appropriate controls to ensure SOX equivalent compliance.
- Manage internal and external taxation advisors and auditors.
- Promote and educate financial awareness throughout the organization, ensuring that the appropriate finance input is considered in all key decisions.
- Ensure that local business development opportunities are actioned effectively and promptly, including participating in negotiating agreements with accounts.
- In conjunction with the General Manager, establish a strategic plan that contributes to the short-term and long-term success of the affiliate.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, including Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant certification; an MBA qualification is desirable.
- Minimum of 12 years in relevant positions in a multinational company (Pharmaceutical/Medical device experience is a plus) with successful career progression.
- People management experience
- Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build quick relationships and business trust.
- Self-starter with the ability to operate independently, identify and implement process improvements, establish and adjust priorities to achieve objectives, and operate with speed and agility.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop a team atmosphere and work cooperatively with other teams.
- Ability to prioritize and work under pressure within strict deadlines.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
