La position d’Associate Technician (Surfacing) chez Essilor And Subsidiaries est cruciale dans le cadre de la production de lentilles ophtalmiques. Fonctions Générales
Les principales responsabilités du poste englobent des activités variées et essentielles :

Coating :
- Clipping : Sécurisation des lentilles dans des paniers pour le début du processus de revêtement.
- Machine Operator : Préparation et fonctionnement de la machine de revêtement.
- Inspection : Contrôle qualité des lentilles avant et après le revêtement pour garantir leur conformité.

Finishing :
- Mounting : Application précise des trous de perçage pour assurer un bon ajustement des lentilles dans les montures.
- Edging Operator : Opération de machines pour découper les lentilles selon la taille requise.
- Surfacing :
- Lens Preparation : Préparation des lentilles pour le processus de surfassage.
- Generator Operator : Utilisation de la machine génératrice pour découper les lentilles aux prescriptions correctes.
Qualifications Requises
Les candidats doivent remplir les critères suivants :
- Capacité à travailler dans un environnement de production dynamique et à communiquer efficacement au sein d’une équipe.
- Compétences de base en lecture, écriture et calcul en anglais.
- Vision de près, discrimination des couleurs et bonne perception de la profondeur.
Préférences :
- Diplôme de niveau secondaire ou équivalent.
- Expérience ou formation préalable pertinente.

📝 Description du poste : GENERAL FUNCTIONSThe primary focus of this position is to perform duties in a manufacturing environment, within areas include Surfacing, Finishing, and Coating. All duties and procedures are to be performed according to the established standard and in compliance with all company and governing body policies. It is required that this position maintain regular, prompt attendance and availability for overtime as needed. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCoatingClipping: Clip and secure lenses into baskets to begin the coating processMachine Operator: Prepare and operate the coating machine to coat the lenses properlyLoad and unload sectors with lensesInspection: Inspect lenses prior to and immediately after coatings process to ensure that they are optically, cosmetically accurate, and in compliance with work ticketSandblasting: Disassemble and clean machines daily including the sandblasting of the partsFinishingMounting: Accurately apply drill holes to the lenses to ensure proper fit and alignment of the lenses and insert lenses into the frame while ensuring proper fit. May utilize the bevel wheel to remove the sharp edges of the lensEdging Operator: Operate a variety of edging machines to cut lenses down to proper size and shape to fit the appropriate frameFinish Layout: prepare an uncut lens for the edging process by outlining the center/alignment markings and affixing the chuck/blockTinting: Accurately tint all lenses going through the tinting departmentSurfacingLens Preparation: Prepare Lens for surfacing process which includes de-boxing of product, taping exposed lens, and tray upMachine OperatorTaping: Operate taping equipment to apply protective tape to the front of the lensesSurfacing Blocker: Utilize the blocking machine to accurately secure a block to all lenses going through the surfacing departmentGenerator Operator: Operate the generator machine used to cut the lenses to the correct prescriptionSurface Finer/Polisher: Operate the equipment used to fine and polish all lenses going through the surfacing departmentSpin Coat Operator: Operate the coating machine to apply spin coat and perform a cosmetic inspection of the lensesLens Washer: Hand wash and dry lenses followed by a brief cosmetic inspection of the lenses. Grasp lens with de-blocking cup and strike against table to remove block from lenses. Remove tape from lensesBASIC QUALIFICATIONSAble to work in a fast-paced production environment and regularly work with and communicate with others in a team
Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence in English.
Basic ability to add, subtract, understand decimal numerical sequencing, and accurately compare number and letter sequences
Requires use of close vision, color vision, peripheral vision,depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Capable of coordinated use of hands and fingers to grasp, feel objects, transfer small items from one hand to another, fine manipulation,and bilateral reach with arms
Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement interpret,goals,objectives, policies and procedures of the organization, multi-task, prioritize, and use good judgement
Able to stand in one place for 10-12 hours a day
