Ce poste exige un leader expérimenté pour optimiser les opérations de flotte de conteneurs à travers l’Australie. Le responsable supervisera une équipe de 11 personnes, comprenant 2 managers, et aura pour mission de garantir la conformité, l’efficacité des coûts et la disponibilité des équipements.
Responsabilités Clés
- Diriger l’équipe logistique en veillant à une répartition équilibrée des charges et à une performance constante.
- Améliorer les processus logistiques pour réduire les coûts opérationnels et augmenter l’efficacité du service.
- Gérer les prévisions de conteneurs et assurer la disponibilité des ressources dans tous les ports australiens.
- Assurer la conformité des opérations de transport de conteneurs et le traitement des factures connexes.
- Initier des économies de coûts et gérer les déséquilibres d’inventaire de conteneurs.
- Former et développer les membres de l’équipe afin de maintenir un haut niveau de compétence et d’engagement.
Compétences et Qualifications Requises
- Titre universitaire en Commerce, Business International ou Logistique.
- Maîtrise d’Excel avancée pour la gestion de données volumineuses.
- Capacités éprouvées de résolution de problèmes et de prise de décision stratégique.
- Expérience significative dans le secteur de la logistique des conteneurs.
- Comportement proactif dans un environnement dynamique avec la gestion de priorités multiples.
- Compétences en communication et en négociation avec des parties prenantes variées.
- Antécédents de leadership et de supervision dans des opérations logistiques.

Work Location: South Wharf, Melbourne (Hybrid work arrangement)We are seeking an experienced Container Logistics & Intermodal Manager to lead and optimise the group’s container fleet operations across Australia. The role is responsible for the performance of a team of 11. This includes 2 managers report directly to you and their teams indirectly. You will oversee all aspects of container logistics and intermodal operations to ensure compliance, cost efficiency, equipment availability, and alignment with global business objectives.The role and responsibilities will include:
- Lead and manage the logistics team, ensuring clear accountability, balanced workload distribution, and consistent performance monitoring.
- Streamline and enhance container logistics processes to reduce operational costs and improve service efficiency.
- Oversee container forecasting, provisioning, and inventory management across all Australian ports to meet export demands.
- Manage container movement data, sales, repairs, and claims in accordance with Head Office directives.
- Ensure timely and compliant execution of container transport and processing of related invoices.
- Drive cost-control initiatives and manage container stock imbalances and idle assets across regions.
- Support internal stakeholders, maintain reporting systems, and deliver ongoing training and development for staff.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, International Business, or Supply Chain/Logistics are essential to understand and manage complexities of global logistics operations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to quickly adapt to internal systems are required to manage high-volume container data efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and strategic decision-making capabilities are necessary to optimise logistics operations across multiple ports.
- Proven experience working under pressure in fast-paced environments, with minimal supervision, while managing competing priorities.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders across countries and regions.
- Extensive prior experience in container logistics, stock management, and high-volume equipment flows, ideally within the shipping or maritime industry.
- Demonstrated team leadership and supervisory experience in logistics or supply chain operations, with a track record of improving performance and compliance
