Responsabilités Clés

Qualifications et Expérience

This role involves managing a multidisciplinary team, providing technical leadership, and ensuring successful delivery in line with Commonwealth procurement frameworks, Australian Defence standards, or state infrastructure requirements. The successful candidate will have deep knowledge of systems engineering best practices, Australian industry standards, and experience delivering within government and Tier 1 contractor environments.Leadership & People ManagementLead, coach, and grow a team of systems engineers across the full engineering lifecycle.Support workforce planning, mentoring, and competency development aligned to INCOSE and organisational standards.Technical DeliveryDefine and manage system architectures, interfaces, requirements, and verification strategies.Deliver engineering artefacts in accordance with AS/NZS ISO 15288, INCOSE SE Handbook, and relevant project-specific frameworks.Implement Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices where applicable.Manage engineering reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR), technical risk, and system assurance.Stakeholder & Program EngagementAct as the primary technical liaison between engineering teams, project managers, Commonwealth stakeholders, and subcontractors.Support proposal development, tender responses, and technical estimation for new work.Governance & ComplianceEnsure compliance with relevant Australian and Defence standards, such as:ASDEFCON, CASG frameworks, MIL-STD-961/881, DEF(AUST), or state-based transport requirements.Lead engineering audits, configuration control boards, and change management processes.Qualifications & ExperienceDegree in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronics, or similar (Master’s or postgraduate Systems Engineering qualifications desirable).Minimum 8+ years’ systems engineering experience, including leadership on complex defence programs (e.g., LAND, SEA, AIR domains) or major infrastructure (e.g., rail signalling, tunnels, smart grid, airports).Familiarity with Australian Government acquisition processes (CASG, Austroads, TfNSW, etc.).Proficiency with tools such as IBM DOORS, Cameo, Enterprise Architect, or Jama.Experience working under a structured V&V or gated development process.Highly DesirableINCOSE CSEP / ASEP or Chartered Engineer (CPEng) with Engineers Australia.Experience with Defence security classifications and ICT/cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., ISM, DISP).Security clearance (e.g., NV1, Baseline, or AGSVA eligibility).Equal Employment Opportunity Statement for Australia:At Accenture, we recognize that our people are multi-dimensional, and we create a work environment where all people feel like they can bring their authentic selves to work, every day.Our unwavering commitment to inclusion and diversity unleashes innovation and creates a culture where everyone feels they have equal opportunity.
