Importance du rôle
- Vous serez responsable de la conception, de la création et de la gestion d’applications pour traiter d’importantes quantités de données dans un écosystème Hadoop/Spark.
- Collaboration avec les équipes pour développer des solutions basées sur Hadoop pour notre plateforme d’analytique Big Data de nouvelle génération.
- Interaction avec nos Data Scientists pour orienter la stratégie et les campagnes marketing de l’entreprise.
- Nous investissons dans le développement de notre personnel et sommes déterminés à maximiser le potentiel de chacun.
Vos missions au quotidien
- Conception et production d’applications performantes pour le traitement complexe de données à l’échelle pétaoctet.
- Création d’applications de traitement de données en temps réel intégrées aux systèmes d’affaires.
- Gestion des flux de données, transformation des ensembles de données et validation des pipelines pour l’apprentissage machine.
- Optimisation des performances des applications sur Hadoop.
Profil recherché
- Diplôme en technologie (informatique, mathématiques, systèmes d’information, ingénierie industrielle, etc.).
- Expérience minimale de 5 ans dans un environnement Hadoop (Cloudera), maîtrise de Spark, Hive/Impala, et autres technologies.
- Compétences en développement logiciel, notamment en Python (préféré), Java ou Scala.
- Expérience dans les opérations de développement (DevDataOps) et intégration continue (CICD).
- Connaissance des bases de données NoSQL (HBASE, Cassandra, etc.) serait un plus.
- Expérience avec des outils de gestion de workflows, tels qu’Apache Airflow.

- We are looking for a Big Data Engineer with experience in designing, building and managing applications to process large amounts of data in a Hadoop/ Spark ecosystem. You’ll provide expert guidance to source and integrate structured and unstructured data from dozens of local data sources including streaming data feeds into our data lake.
- As a Big Data Engineer, you will work closely with the team and our stakeholders to build and deliver our Hadoop based solutions for a next generation Big Data analytics platform.
- Working with our Data Scientists to help drive the company strategy and marketing campaigns to our customers will be one of the responsibility of you.

How will you spend your time at Vodafone?
- You’ll be designing and producing high performing and stable applications to perform complex processing of petabyte scale data in a Hadoop based environment.
- Working alongside Data Scientists to build end-to-end applications that make use of large volumes of source data from the operational systems and output insights back to business systems
- Building real-time data processing applications which are integrated with business systems to enable value from analytic models to drive rapid decision making
- Sourcing, ingesting, wrangling and validating data sets, building pipelines to transform data and produce analytical records for machine learning
- You’ll have extensive experience with performance tuning applications on Hadoop and configuring Hadoop based systems to maximise performance.
You are just the person we’ve been looking for, if you have:
- BS degree or higher in a technology related field (e.g. Computer Science, Math, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering or another quantitative field)
- Minimum 5 year experience in designing, building and managing applications to process large amounts of data in a (Cloudera) Hadoop ecosystem (Spark, Hive/Impala, HBase, Yarn, Oozie)
- Strong software development experience in Python(preferred), Java or Scala programming languages (other programming languages desirable);
- Experience in DevDataOps and CICD pipelines. And compliance of the coding standards.
- Experience in designing, building and managing applications to process large amounts of data in a Hadoop ecosystem
- Experience building systems to perform real-time data processing using Spark Streaming, Nifi, Flink and Kafka, or similar technologies
- Experience with Linux systems, including bash programming
- Experience with other distributed NoSQL databases such as HBASE, Cassandra, Solr/Elastic Search is a plus
- Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools (Apache Airflow, etc.).
- Building real-time data processing applications which are integrated with business systems to enable value from analytic models to drive rapid decision making
- Experience with ML and Deep Learning is a plus
- Experience with development of Cloud Native and Micro Service applications is a plus
