Follow @blackstone on , , and .The Global Transfer Agent Oversight Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operational performance, compliance, and strategic alignment of transfer agent (TA) services across Blackstone’s Private Wealth Perpetual Funds. This role ensures that TA and Distributor/Custodian processes are executed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with regulatory requirements while delivering exceptional service to investors and advisors. The individual will act as the Senior liaison between Blackstone Business Units, Private Wealth, Distributors/Custodians and its third-party transfer agents, driving operational excellence, mitigating risks, and ensuring alignment with the firm’s broader objectives.Job Description

  • Manage a team responsible for the day-to-day oversight of global transfer agent services, ensuring timely and accurate processing of investor transactions, including subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, and distributions.
  • Monitor performance metrics and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure third-party transfer agents meet Blackstone’s standards for quality and efficiency.
  • Oversee transfer agent operations across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring consistency and adherence to local regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to address market-specific challenges and opportunities.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on TA performance, risks, and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead vendor selection, onboarding, and performance evaluation processes for new transfer agents globally.
  • Negotiate contracts and SLAs to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality service delivery.
  • Identify and address operational bottlenecks, errors, or inefficiencies in TA, Distributor and Custodian processes.
  • Drive partner engagement and manage relationships with operations and trading teams at distributors, custodians and FinTech platforms.
  • Ensure transfer agent operations comply with applicable regulations, including AML/KYC requirements, FATCA/CRS reporting, and other jurisdiction-specific rules.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of transfer agent processes to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, business development, product strategy and marketing teams to address changes impacting TA operations.
  • Coordinate with internal business partners’ cash and share activity and transaction reporting to balance records with fund accounting records.
  • Drive the adoption of technology solutions to streamline TA workflows, reduce manual errors, and improve investor experiences.
  • Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure seamless integration of transfer agent platforms with Blackstone’s internal systems.
  • Ensure transfer agent operations deliver a seamless and positive experience for investors and advisors.
  • Address escalated investor inquiries and resolve complex issues related to TA processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 8+ years of experience in transfer agent oversight, investor services, operations or related role(s) within asset management, private equity, or financial services.
  • Series 7 License.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and driving performance improvements.
  • Strong analytical skills in order to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in TA operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effectively collaborates across teams and regions.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and drive change in a complex, global environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
  • Demonstrated experience effectively managing competing priorities and delivering results under tight deadlines.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Enthusiastic, adaptable, and proactive.
  • Client focused.
