Description du poste : Join the growing team at Unison Contracting!We’ve secured a fantastic opportunity supporting the Powerco network and their customers in Tauranga, and we need YOU to help us build something amazing from the ground up! If you’re ready for a fresh challenge and want to be part of an exciting new chapter, we’d love to hear from you.We are currently looking for Cable Jointers to join our team in Tauranga. These are permanent, full-time roles with guaranteed fortnightly pay in a stable and supportive environment.What you’ll do:
- To terminate, joint and repair 400 volt, 11,000 volt and 33,000 volt cables.
- To undertake termination of new cables into switches, transformers, OCB’s up to 33 kV, and undertake inline 11kV and 33kV through joints.
- To install new equipment and services both overhead lines and underground cables.
- To repair and restore after fault damage lines, cables and equipment.
This is a great opportunity if you have:
- A current EWRB registered cable jointer certificate
- Two years’ experience as a cable jointer or line mechanic
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- A comprehensive knowledge of electrical practices.

Interview and Selection Process:
- A short exploratory call (5-10 mins) to chat about why you’re interested in the role.
- A face to face interview, where we dive into your skills, experiences, and what you could add to the team.
- Successful applicants will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment (including drug and alcohol test) and physical assessment.
