Description des responsabilités
En tant que Care Worker, vos missions principales incluront :
- Providing care, companionship, and emotional support to residents to enhance their independence and quality of life.
- Assuring l’assistance quotidienne (hygiène personnelle, aide aux repas, mobilité, etc.).
- Assisting avec la médication et des soins simples (comme les bandages).
- Encouraging et supportant la participation des résidents à des activités sociales et récréatives.
Conditions de travail
Rémunération : jusqu’à $32.14 par heure, + super, pénalités et avantages fiscaux liés au secteur non lucratif.
Type de contrat : Opportunités permanentes à temps partiel et en tant que travailleur occasionnel, avec jusqu’à 60 heures par quinzaine.

Profil recherché
Les candidats idéaux posséderont :
- Un Certificat III ou IV en Soins aux personnes âgées, ou une qualification équivalente.
- Une expérience antérieure en soins de santé, ou un souhait ardent d’entamer une carrière dans ce domaine.
- Des qualités telles que l’adaptabilité, l’empathie et la capacité à respecter les valeurs de Uniting.

About Uniting Garden SuburbNestled on the edge of a serene bushland reserve in the Lake Macquarie region of NSW, Uniting Garden Suburb is a peaceful and welcoming aged care home. It has three separate households, each with between 25 and 30 residents and includes a secure household for people living with dementia or mental health illness. Your Uniting Homemaker ensures that the community is thriving and doing things that are meaningful and enjoyable.What you’ll be doing in this role
- You’ll provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life
- Providing daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, help at mealtimes and with general mobility
- Assisting with medication and simple wound dressings and
- Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.

- Ideally, you’ll have a Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification. If you’re not qualified and would like to be, we can help you get there.
- You’ll have previous experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin your career in aged care if you’re studying or have recently become qualified.
- You’ll be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful, and you will be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
