Description du poste : About Papatoetoe Hunters Corner Bowling ClubPapatoetoe Hunters Corner Bowling Club is an awesome club situated in the heart of Papatoetoe and is part of the wider sporting complex operated by the Kolmar Trust.The club strives to deliver excellent experiences to members (both competitive and social) and visitors alike, whether it be on the greens or in the facilities.Boasting a brand new covered green (one of only four in the city), two natural greens, a large club rooms plus bar and catering services the club is well positioned to embed itself as the place to be in the community.Along with club and corporate events, the club hosts Bowls Auckland tournaments, and from time-to-time national and international events.It strives to be a bustling community hub that wants to continue to grow and deliver amazing experiences that create life-long friendships and memories.Role SummaryThis is a new exciting role aimed at assisting the club achieve their vision of being the ‘heart of the community’.It is a fixed-term (12 month) full-time role with the opportunity to extend to a permanent role subject to funding at the end of the term. The exact 12-month period will be confirmed with the successful applicant.The position will be responsible for the overall operational management of the club achieving key objectives, including (but not limited to) driving key revenue streams.The position will aim to create a thriving and sustainable club based on strong business acumen that extends beyond the green and is founded on excellent relationships with key stakeholders including members and the wider community.This includes financial, funding, facility, membership, events, and volunteer management.The position will play a vital role within the club with a wider connection to key partners including Bowls Auckland, Kolmar, other bowling clubs, Auckland Council, schools, Regional Sporting Trusts and local community groups.It will include a level of weekend commitment due to the nature of bowling club activities.About You

  • Have a real passion for getting people active and knowledge of the benefits of sport.
  • Have previous experience in a community sporting or small business setting.
  • Outstanding organisation and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage workloads to meet deadlines.
  • An ability to relate well to people at all levels.
  • Develop good teamwork skills by building and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues, members and external stakeholders.
  • An openness to work flexible hours if required.
