Therefore, we are looking for a Component Manager to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose – securing people through advanced technology.Your role in our teamAs our new Component Manager, you will take part of creating and maintaining components in the R&D context by using design tools including 2D schematic and ensuring the accuracy of component data and draw schematics parts. The creation of components encompasses 2D schematic activities, comprehensive data handling and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) maneuvers. You will be the « release gate keeper” regarding releasing of components from R&D. This involves being the data quality gatekeeper toward engineers requesting releases of new components and amendments- primarily within electrical components.You will be responsible for gathering and managing component data and datasheets from suppliers and other sources while ensuring compliance with our component policies. In addition, you will ensure review/data quality to fulfil handover criteria to the production as well as contributing to the component release process and support the preparation of production documentation. Moreover, you will primarily interact with technical stakeholders on an engineering level and will also interact with the organization to adapt to our release process in a daily environment driven by openness and a friendly atmosphere.The team that you become part of consists of 20-25 highly dedicated colleagues with a technical background within the electrical area. It is divers in age and education level, and the atmosphere is open and friendly with a good level of humour, high level of collaboration and mutual respect.How you will make a meaningful contributionYour key responsibilities include:
- Create and maintain components 2d and partly 3d using R&D design tools e.g. from Cadence system software (OrCad, Schematic etc.) and Capital Essentials from Siemens. Work primarily within electrical and mechatronic, secondary within mechanical e.g. SolidEdge.
- Verifying components and documentation according to standards including coordinating technical aspects related to our Specification Control Drawings (SCD)
- When releasing new components, ensure that the obsolescence status has been monitored to maintain the continuous availability of required components
Bring your world class expertise into playYou are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement
- You hold a relevant education e.g. as a Technical Designer, Production Technologist, Technical Assistant or a similar related field
- You possess a technical background with capabilities to draw 2D on a schematic level and are able to maneuver in PLM systems to amend and maintain data
- We use tools like IFS, Allegro. OrCad, Capital Essentials, SolidEdge, Solidworks, Windshill, Catia and other. We manage a wide range of design tools in R&D and expect to provide you with adequate training to handle the tools to fulfill the component manager role. Most important is that you possess knowledge of drawing tools and PLM systems
