Mission du poste
Le poste de Consultant Senior est crucial pour Hamerkop dans le développement de solutions climatiques axées sur la nature en Asie du Sud-Est. Les responsabilités incluent la direction technique d’études et de rapports pour des projets de gestion des forêts, ainsi que la structuration et la certification de projets de réduction des émissions selon des normes reconnues telles que Verra et Gold Standard.
Responsabilités clés
- Livraison technique : Superviser des études complexes sur la gestion et la conservation des forêts.
- Leadership de projet carbone : Réguler la certification de projets de réduction des émissions en garantissant l’excellence technique et l’intégrité du marché.
- Conseil stratégique : Fournir des conseils aux ONG, développeurs privés et gouvernements sur les marchés de carbone et les stratégies de financement climatique.
- Développement commercial : Identifier de nouvelles opportunités et rédiger des propositions techniques de qualité.
- Engagement des parties prenantes : Établir des relations de confiance avec les équipes de projets et représenter Hamerkop dans les forums régionaux.

Profil recherché
Compétences requises :
- MSc en foresterie, sciences environnementales ou domaine connexe.
- 5 à 10 ans d’expérience professionnelle en projets de foresterie ou liés au climat, notamment en Asie du Sud-Est.
- Connaissance substantielle des marchés de carbone volontaires et réglementés.
- Compétences analytiques et rédactionnelles avérées.
- Langue : anglais courant, plus une langue asiatique (indonésien, vietnamien, khmer, tagalog, ou malais).
- Excellentes compétences organisationnelles et capacité de travail dans une équipe multiculturelle.
Compétences souhaitées :
- Expertise démontrée dans le développement de projets carbone.
- Expérience en conseil, y compris la gestion de clients et de projets.
- Collaboration antérieure avec agences gouvernementales et ONG.
- Connaissance des outils d’analyse des émissions de gaz à effet de serre et de financement climatique.

PROJECT: certification and implementation of projects contributing to the fight against climate change. We support projects from early conception to early-stage feasibility studies, drafting of carbon certification studies and documents, and support the implementation of activities as well as monitor their ongoing impacts.2. MARKET: independent expert advice on the carbon markets. We provide (i) technical pre-investment risk-based due diligence to carbon credit and project sponsors; (ii) strategic advice to organisations looking for positioning on the carbon market; and (iii) educational support on the structure, state, and trends of the carbon markets.3. We work with international organisations and government authorities to align their policy, technical and institutional frameworks with the requirements of the Paris Agreement’s carbon and climate finance mechanisms.HAMERKOP works at the intersection of the public and private sectors, with governments, international organisations, NGOs and private companies and is increasingly playing a crucial role in the Singaporean and Southeast Asian carbon market ecosystem.Role Description – ResponsibilitiesThis newly created consultant position will consist of growing and delivering a diverse range of stimulating technical and strategic consultancy assignments in relation to forestry, land use and management and biochar.What you will do:
- Lead technical delivery: oversee and deliver complex studies, analytics, and technical reports for forestry management, conservation, and restoration projects in Southeast Asia, focusing on the Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Indonesia.
- Carbon project leadership: guide the formulation, feasibility, and certification of emission reduction projects under major standards (such as Verra, Gold Standard, Plan Vivo, ERS), ensuring technical excellence and market integrity.
- Strategic advisory: advise clients—including NGOs, private developers, and governments—on voluntary carbon markets, project structuring, and climate finance strategies aligned with evolving regional and international frameworks.
- Business development: identify and pursue new project opportunities, build regional networks, draft high-quality technical and commercial proposals.
- Stakeholder engagement: build and maintain trusted relationships with project teams, clients, government agencies, and partner organisations; represent HAMERKOP at regional forums and industry events.
- Policy and market intelligence: monitor and interpret climate policy, carbon market trends, and relevant legislation in Southeast Asia; provide thought leadership and contribute to knowledge sharing.
- Team leadership: mentor junior consultants, contribute to internal capacity building, and help shape HAMERKOP’s growing Southeast Asian practice.
Who you areRequired
- MSc in forestry, environmental science, conservation, ecology, or a related technical field.
- At least 5–10 years of professional experience in forestry, land management, or climate-related projects, with significant experience in Southeast Asia.
- Strong understanding of voluntary and compliance carbon markets, including regional mechanisms and international standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills; attention to detail and a track record of delivering high-quality outputs.
- Fluent in spoken and written English, plus a second Southeast Asian language (Bahasa Indonesia, Vietnamese, Khmer, Tagalog, or Malay).
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multicultural, distributed team.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach and a commitment to mentoring others.
Desired
- Demonstrated expertise in carbon project development, technical feasibility, and certification processes for nature-based solutions.
- Prior consulting experience, including client and project management.
- Experience working with government agencies, NGOs, and/or private sector actors in Southeast Asia.
