Performing laboratory tests by following laboratory work instruction and operating procedures; ? Checking sample identification and qualification compliance to sample registration procedure; ? Assisting in inventory control and proper storage of reagent, consumables and samples; ? Maintaining laboratory equipment according to Standard Operation requirements and schedule; ? Performing data entry and sample log-in to the laboratory information system; ? Record keeping and assistance in preparation of statistics reports or project plans; ? Assisting Laboratory Supervisor in the development and validation of laboratory methods according to NATA / IOS 17025 guideline; ? Assisting in quality assurance and quality management matters under supervision; ? Assisting in matters related to the cross-border movement of racehorses; and ? Performing any other duties as assigned by supervisors.RequirementsCandidates should – * Be eligible to be registered in Hong Kong as a medical laboratory technologist; * Be undertaking/have completed a qualification recognized by the Medical Laboratory Technologists Board such as a diploma in medical laboratory science, or equivalent; * Must be able to speak fluent Cantonese and English, read and write Chinese and English competently; * Have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; * Be Conversant with computer software application e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Chinese word processing; and * Have at least 1 year of working experience in veterinary or medical laboratory.? Terms of Appointment: Successful candidates will be appointed on 1 year non-civil service contract terms.Remuneration$42,640 per month
