The project focuses on sustainable urban development, advanced digital infrastructure, and seamless logistics to create an innovative and world-class experience. It will serve as a key platform for showcasing cutting-edge technology, cultural engagement, and future-forward solutions on an international stage.Job Summary:In this role, you will participate in contract formation and/or administration. Contract formation includes (in coordination and with the approval of the customer) leading preparation and review of bid request packages and developing project contracts operating procedures. Contract administration includes continual progress review, forecasting, and communication of difficulties. Your work will ensure contract compliance with project requirements.#LI-MA6Major Responsibilities:Subcontract Management
- Implements the Supply Chain Assignment Schedule which records the Project’s agreed assignment of various subcontract management tasks and the Standard Work Process Procedures applicable to Subcontract Management
- Manages assigned subcontracts maintaining a continual review of progress and providing management with information regarding projected financial or technical difficulties
- Coordinates with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, subcontract performance, and other major matters
- Manages less complex contract changes by negotiating with customer personnel and obtaining settlement
- Communicates information programs to ensure mutual understanding of subcontract terms and conditions
- Prepares periodic status reports for management
Subcontract Formation
- Conforms and ensures subcontract execution
- Directs negotiation in the commitment of subcontracts
- Prepares bidders’ lists and pre-qualifies bidders
- Forms bid request packages and issues bid request packages to approved bidders
- Coordinates bidders’ questions and answers to those questions
- Receives bids and evaluates bids commercially
- Prepares Commercial Bid Summary and recommendations
- Recommends and secures approvals in accordance with established procedures
- Prepares subcontract documents for execution
- Prepares and organizes assigned meetings, such as pre-bid, bid clarification and pre-award meetings, for the purpose of ensuring complete understanding and agreement between Bechtel, the customer and contractor on all contractual matters
- After reviewing plan and agenda with supervisor, conducts meeting and prepares and issues meeting notes delineating important statements, required actions and schedules
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 5-10 years of relevant experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience in formation activities, award of moderately complex construction contracts and services contracts.
- Demonstrated skills in working and communicating effectively with all levels of project functional groups.
- Experience in a wide range of contract types and associated pricing arrangements.
- Experience in change management procedures pertaining to Requests for Information (RFIs), change notices, change orders, amendments, and claims and dispute resolution.
- Experience in negotiating terms and conditions.
