Based at ASB’s state-of-the-art head office on Auckland’s North Wharf, you’ll contribute and add value to an award-winning, best-in-class marketing data & analytics teamMō te Tūranga | About the roleWe are seeking a talented Senior Analytics Engineer (or similar) to join our Data Engineering Chapter, working within the Customer Tribe. This role focuses on conducting business analysis of the requests coming from across the Customer Tribe and ASB, ensuring the successful integration and transformation of data across various systems, and getting hands-on with developing data models for our customer domain data products.Ngā Kawenga Matua | Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand data requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain data models, ETL processes, and data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, and other relevant technologies.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are met across all data products.
  • Work closely with the Data Engineering Chapter and Customer Tribe to design and implement data solutions that support business needs.
  • Provide analytical insights and support to drive data-driven decision-making within the organization.

Ō pūkenga | About youYou will bring to the role:

  • Proven experience in data engineering and business analysis, with a strong background in data integration, ETL processes, and data modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, and data processing technologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and on-premise data systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry, particularly within ASB.
  • Knowledge of operational data products and customer journey mapping.
