Now, we’re looking for a new colleague.What you’ll be doingWe’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer who enjoys solving complex data challenges -whether it’s transforming raw data into insights in the morning, reviewing dbt models over coffee with colleagues’, or collaborating with domain experts to understand new use cases in the afternoon.At MIMIRO, data products are central to our mission. They power applications that help farmers improve their operations, and they support sustainability efforts across the dairy and meat industries. You’ll work at the intersection of agriculture and technology, building systems that truly make a difference.As a Data Engineer, your responsibilities will include
- Building data transformations and pipelines that turn raw data into valuable data products
- Integrating data from a variety of sources -including IoT devices, third-party systems, and cloud platforms
- Ensuring data quality through automated testing, validation, and monitoring
- Developing and deploying SQL and dbt work packages as part of our modern data stack
- Collaborating closely with R&D, product teams, and application developers to meet their data needs
- Managing and documenting data contracts together with domain experts
What we’re looking for
- A degree in computer science or a related engineering field
- 4-5 years of experience working on a production-grade data platform
- Hands-on experience with dbt
- Proficiency with Snowflake or similar modern data warehouses
- Solid understanding of how different components in a data platform fit together
- Experience with Airflow, MLflow or similar tools is a bonus
- Technical skills: SQL, Python, Docker, Git, and cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS/Azure)
- Fluency in both Norwegian and English

Where and how we workYou’ll have flexibility in where you work -from our downtown Oslo office, the Ås office, or from home when needed. However, the teams enjoy and appreciate meeting at the office two to three times per week. Our team includes people from Ukraine, India, Fjørtoft, Oslo, Moss, Stavanger, Ski, Germany, England -and more. English is our working language.
