Balfour Beatty cherche à recruter un Drone Coordinator pour participer à un projet d’envergure, à savoir la construction d’une centrale nucléaire à Sizewell C sur la côte du Suffolk. Ce projet vise à fournir de l’électricité à faible émission de carbone pour 6 millions de foyers pendant les 60 prochaines années. Ce projet s’intègre dans le cadre d’une alliance civique regroupant plusieurs entreprises internationales, dont Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics, et Laing O’Rourke, visant à une livraison collective d’expertise technique.

Activités Principales

Le Coordinateur de Drones joue un rôle clé dans la supervision des opérations de drones, avec pour missions principales :

Gestion logistique des vols et conformité réglementaire.
Exécution de missions de collecte de données avec des UAVs (drones).
Traitement de données spatiales pour l’analyse et la production de rapports.
Liaison entre l’exploitation technique des drones et les insights stratégiques pour soutenir les projets opérationnels, environnementaux ou d’infrastructure.

Profil Recherché

Qualifications Requises :

Pilote de drone certifié (ex. CAA, A2 CofC, GVC, RPCs).
Diplôme de niveau Bachelor en Géographie, Géomatique, Télédétection, Ingénierie ou domaine similaire.
Minimum de 2 ans d’expérience en opérations de drones et traitement de données géospatiales.
Maîtrise des logiciels GIS (ex. ArcGIS, QGIS) et outils de photogrammétrie (ex. Pix4D, DroneDeploy, Agisoft Metashape).
Connaissances solides en régulations aériennes et meilleures pratiques en matière d’UA (Unmanned Aerial).

Compétences Souhaitées :

Expérience en programmation ou script (Python, SQL) pour l’analyse de données spatiales.
Familiarité avec des plateformes GIS basées sur le cloud (ex. ArcGIS, Maptitude).
Connaissances en télédétection, ingénierie civile, et ingénierie numérique.
Excellentes compétences en communication et en coordination de projets.

Sizewell C will see the creation of a 3.2 Gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast to provide reliable load low-carbon electricity.The Civil Works Alliance is an extended delivery enterprise involving Sizewell C and three international construction companies: Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O’Rourke.We are more than just an alliance, we are bringing together a single delivery organisation with years of learning and experience from other major complex infrastructure programmes worldwide.What you’ll be doingThe purpose of the role is to employ a skilled and versatile Drone Coordinator who is also a certified Drone Pilot with proven experience in data processing, GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and data management. This role involves coordinating drone operations, flying UAVs for data collection, managing flight logistics and compliance, and processing spatial data for analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate will bridge technical drone work with strategic data insights to support our operational, environmental, or infrastructure projectsWho we’re looking forRequired Qualifications:

Certified UAV/Drone Pilot (e.g.,CAA, A2 CofC, GVC, RPCs)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Geography, Geomatics, Remote Sensing, Engineering, or related

field.

2+ years of experience in drone operations and geospatial data processing.
Proficient in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) and photogrammetry tools (Pix4D, DroneDeploy, Propeller,

Agisoft Metashape, etc.).

Experience with various digital data formats.
Strong understanding of airspace regulations, safety protocols, and UAV best practice

Desirable Skills:

Programming or scripting experience (e.g., Python, SQL) for spatial data analysis or automation.
Familiarity with cloud-based GIS platforms (e.g., ArcGIS from Esri UK, QGIS (open-source), Maptitude

Google Earth).

Knowledge of remote sensing, civil engineering & digital engineering.
Excellent communication, project coordination, and problem-solving skills.
