Description du poste : WGM Engineering have several opportunities for fixed wire testing electricians to join our E&M division on a permanent basis. Covering various sites across the West, South and East areas of Scotland. As an Electrician in the fixed wire testing workstream, you will be responsible for inspection and testing of installations along with production of relevant certification using NAPIT software and carry out necessary remedial works.Main duties and responsibilities
- Inspection and Testing of electrical installations on Scottish Water assets.
- Swiftly and comprehensively fault-find and rectify problems on a variety of electrical issues that may arise.
- Carry out remedial works upon completion of testing.
- Deliver electrical compliance to the standard identified in the electrical skills matrix.
- Demonstrate an understanding of current electrical regulations to BS7671.
- Complete & input into the required NICEIC Certification.
- Interpret RAMS and prepare daily briefings.
- Deliver electrical isolations & process instructions in accordance with the WGM Electrical Safety Rules (ESR).
- Able to ensure CP (Competent Person) status in line with the WGM ESR’s.
Working as part of the Fixed Wire Testing team, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
- Team player who has knowledge of safe systems of work and have served a recognised industrial/commercial electrical Apprenticeship.
- ECS card (essential).
- Experience of Scottish Water and/or industrial background (desirable).
- Experience in inspection and testing.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/5 Test and Inspection qualification is desirable but subject to funding this could be provided for the right candidate.
- Driving Licence (essential).
- Basic IT skills, Outlook, Excel, and word.
- Understanding of electrical certification.
