The Engagement & Partnership Manager will play a pivotal role in managing initiatives and programmes with various organisations, including statutory bodies, tertiary institutions, and business corporates, to explore and cultivate partnerships opportunities that create mutually beneficial outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, along with the ability to mutually beneficial collaborations.Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Corporate Communications and Marketing Director for overseeing the engagement and partnership opportunities for the Welfare Council;
- Develop and implement an engagement and partnership strategy to foster collaborations with statutory bodies, tertiary institutions, and business corporates;Proactively identify and engage with potential partners, establishing and maintaining strong relationships to explore partnership opportunities;
- Initiate and lead discussions with potential partners to explore mutually beneficial collaborations, such as joint projects, sponsorships, fundraising initiatives, and advocacy campaigns;
- Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements, ensuring that they are aligned with the Welfare Council’s values and objectives;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative programmes and initiatives that leverage the strengths and resources of partners;
- Maintain regular communication and engagement with partners to nurture and strengthen relationships, ensuring mutual satisfaction and long-term sustainability;
- Monitor and evaluate the impact and effectiveness of partnerships, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement;
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging partnership models to continuously improve engagement strategies;
- Deliver work as assigned;
- Work with colleagues to meet the objectives of the units/departments and the organisation as a whole.
Qualifications
- Degree holder or above in any related disciplines (e.g., business administration, marketing, communications, public administration or social work) or equivalent practical experience;
- Proven experience (5 years or above) in partnership management, business development, or related roles;
- Knowledge of statutory bodies, tertiary institutions, and corporate sectors in Hong Kong is welcome but not required;
- Strong understanding of partnership models, and community engagement practices;
- Demonstrated strong business development mindset and the ability to identify and seize partnership opportunities that align with organisational goals;
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders;
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively;
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a result-oriented mindset;
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese;
- Passionate about social impact and committed to the organisation’s mission and values;
- Experience in public organisations, social purpose organisations or NGOs may have an advantage.
