You will also have the opportunity to work in a modern, inspiring environment.Job DescriptionReporting to the Head of Quality Assurance, the incumbent will is responsible for validating the quality of IT solutions (software, web applications, client-server applications, and/or BI solutions), via the design, development, and execution of test plans (both manual and automated). This role is essential to support the IT project lifecycle, from project start until implementation.Responsibilities
- Ensure quality of solutions delivered by the development team or by external IT service providers.
- Participate in the evaluation of testing efforts required for various projects and system upgrades.
- Define/adapt quality norms and standards in the systems development life cycle.
- Define test strategies for projects and system upgrades.
- Develop and execute manual and automated test scripts, using automated testing tools.
- Identify and document problems (bugs) and follow-up on corrective actions.
- Ensure the testing follow-ups for projects and system upgrades (include User Acceptance Testing).
- Communicate the final testing status of deliverables, in terms of quality and performance.
- Train and support other team members on the use of testing tools.
- Identify QA process improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
- Degree in computer science.
- Minimum 5 years in IT quality assurance.
- Experience with testing tools (ALM, an asset).
- Experience with the development, execution, and improvement of automated testing scripts, using tools such as TestComplete and TestExecute (an asset).
- Knowledge of Internet platform and Microsoft technology-based transactional websites.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deliver within strict timeframes.
- Team spirit and collaboration.
- Fluency in French required (team’s primary language), and functional English for supplier meetings.
