About the Role
A well-established Canterbury transport repair company is looking for a skilled Curtainside Technician to join their team. You’ll carry out quality repairs to heavy vehicle curtainsides in the workshop and on-site, ensuring jobs are completed safely, accurately, and to a high standard.
Key Duties
- Curtainside repairs (plus welding, curtain installs, pelmet rubber, etc. depending on your skillset)
- Record jobs using SimPRO – time, parts, notes, and photos
- Complete daily timesheets accurately
- Take clear photo records (before, during, after)
- Maintain tidy workspaces, tools, and vehicles
- Follow Health & Safety policies and PPE use
- Represent the company professionally with customers
What You’ll Need
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Full NZ driver’s licence (Class 4/5 a bonus)
- Good physical fitness and attention to detail
- Solid communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong work ethic and a safety-first mindset
- Willingness to learn and be a team player
