Description du poste : Our Clare based client are a currently recruiting a Facilities & Maintenance Manager to join their team.
Excellent opportunity to join a thriving company in Co. Clare. The Facilities and Maintenance Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust preventative maintenance programme for the Company and will play a critical part in supporting plant operations by ensuring maximum efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance across all facility functions.Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage preventative maintenance programmes for plant services and equipment.
- Maintain the plant register of equipment and ensure all insurance certificates are up to date.
- Respond to and resolve breakdown maintenance issues promptly and effectively.
- Manage stock levels of spare parts and critical equipment.
- Provide continuous input to enhance productivity and safety from a maintenance perspective.
- Support and contribute to energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
- Coordinate contractor programmes and liaise with service providers to ensure works are delivered on time and within budget.
- Oversee and inspect building and renovation projects to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Lead or support the planning and implementation of capital projects, offering technical and project management expertise.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in process equipment and machinery efficiency.
- Develop contingency plans to minimise disruption in the event of emergencies.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in facilities/maintenance within a production environment.
- Trades qualified electrician or mechanical fitter.
- Technical expertise in maintaining production facilities, including mechanical, electrical, and heating systems.
- Experience managing contractors and critical service providers.
- Strong understanding of ISO standards and quality systems, especially in a chemical manufacturing setting (desirable).
- In-depth knowledge of statutory health and safety regulations in a production environment.
- Excellent risk management skills and awareness.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Impeccable project management, time management, and organisational abilities.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work under pressure with a high degree of motivation and flexibility.
