Based in our Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, you will focus on the financial implications of teaching revenue, while also contributing to central performance reporting and broader Faculty planning.Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Partner with stakeholders, monitor budgets and forecasts, and deliver clear, actionable financial insights.
- Business Case Support: Ensure business cases are robust, data-driven, and aligned with strategic goals.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial and operational processes, supporting continuous improvement.
- Strategic Business Partnering: Build strong relationships across the University, delivering excellent service and enhancing financial literacy.
- Team Mentorship: Provide coaching and guidance to fellow analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

You enjoy teamwork but can also work autonomously and across different management levels.You should have a Bachelor of Commerce or a relevant tertiary qualification, preferably with a major in accounting and taxation. Membership with a professional accounting institute such as CAANZ, CPA, or an equivalent is preferred. We are looking for candidates with specialised experience, including 1 to 2 years at a senior technical advisory level. Experience with advanced financial and accounting software systems and working in large, complex organisations is also desirable.You should possess excellent written and oral communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and a service-oriented mindset.
