Description du poste : I’m Alejandro Martínez, a Freelance Headhunter specialized in Finance and Corporate roles across EMEA.I’m currently supporting an international cycling brand that has evolved far beyond its triathlon origins and now offers a full range of high-performance bikes across multiple disciplines.As part of their expansion strategy, the company is centralizing its Finance & Accounting operations in Barcelona, and is looking for a highly motivated and technically skilled Financial Controller / Senior Accountant to join their team.In this role, you’ll play a key part in overseeing the financial integrity of subsidiaries in the USA, Austria, and Spain, working closely with external accounting partners and driving continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting.TasksReporting directly to the CFO and collaborating with international teams, the selected candidate will:

• Oversee and validate accounting entries in SAP R/3, ensuring compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP standards.
• Coordinate monthly closings and financial reconciliations with Shared Service Centers in the US and Austria.
• Perform variance analysis, monitor profitability by cost center, and provide insights into deviations from budget.
• Develop and optimize financial dashboards and reports using Power BI, enhancing visibility and decision-making.
• Support the annual budgeting process and assist with financial forecasting.
• Act as the main finance contact for cross-functional international teams (accounting, controlling, logistics, etc.).
• Support internal and external audit processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal controls and procedures.
• Analyze the Balance Sheet and P&L, extract general ledgers, and prepare cost center reports.
• Lead financial insight generation to support strategic decisions during the transition of accounting functions to Spain.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in Accounting/Controlling within international environments or Shared Service Centers (SSC).
• Strong technical knowledge of SAP R/3 and advanced Excel.
• Fluent English – essential for daily communication with global teams.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Proactive mindset and strong communication skills.
