Le Poste : Senior iOS Engineer dans l’équipe de santé métabolique
Mission : Dans le cadre de l’expansion de ses services, Oura recherche un Senior iOS Engineer pour rejoindre l’équipe de santé métabolique. Ce rôle est essentiel pour aider les membres à suivre et améliorer leur santé métabolique, notamment via l’intégration de capteurs externes et l’analyse des données nutritionnelles.
Responsabilités Principales :
- Architecturer, concevoir, construire et maintenir des fonctionnalités au sein de l’application iOS Oura, en utilisant Swift et UIKit.
- Collaborer avec une équipe pluridisciplinaire incluant ingénieurs, designers, data scientists et experts en santé.
- Refactoriser des fonctionnalités existantes pour une meilleure qualité de code et de performance.
- Assurer la qualité du produit via des revues de code et des tests automatisés.
- Optimiser les performances de l’application et résoudre les problèmes techniques.
- Utiliser les outils modernes de Swift pour une programmation efficace.
Profil Recherché :
Nous sommes à la recherche de candidats ayant :
- Un minimum de 5 ans d’expérience dans le développement d’applications iOS.
- Une forte capacité à prendre des responsabilités à chaque étape du processus de développement.
- Une attitude proactive et orientée résultats.

- Une expérience solide avec Swift et les architectures modernes d’applications.
- Des compétences en communication et en collaboration.

Like sleep, activity, cardiovascular health, and stress & resilience, metabolic health is an integral component of health and well-being. Currently this means helping our members track and improve their metabolic health via facilitating glucose tracking through integrations with external Stelio biosensors, capturing nutrition intake data, and delivering actionable insights derived from that information that helps educate and inspire members to healthier metabolic decisions while maintaining a psychologically healthy relationship with food.This is an on-site (Helsinki, Oulu) or remote Finland-based senior role.What you will do:
- Architect, design, build and maintain features to the Oura iOS app using Swift and UIKit
- Work in a cross functional squad together with a passionate group of engineers, designers, data scientists, our product manager, health science experts and other stakeholders.
- Refactor existing features to improve code quality, performance, and maintainability.
- Ensure high quality through code reviews, automatic testing, and engineering best practices.
- Optimize app performance, memory usage, and rendering, and address crashes and hitches using profiling tools.
- Understanding how to use modern Swift tools for efficient asynchronous programming and handling complex state flows in the UI.

- A minimum of 5 years of professional development experience shipping iOS apps.
- Taking strong ownership of the iOS team’s work from technical planning to ensuring we ship working and high quality features.
- A proactive, get-stuff-done attitude.
- Drives and delivers on complex and often ambiguous initiatives with minimal guidance
- Thriving in a dynamic startup-like environment. We’re building something completely new within the Oura app, and many of us come from startup backgrounds. We move and experiment fast, with continuous product discovery ongoing. We believe in creating value through iterative and incremental development as opposed to big bang releases.
- Strong experience with Swift and modern iOS app architectures.
- Solid understanding of what you build as a whole, both from an engineering and end-user perspective.
- Problem-solving mindset and adaptability.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Experience with collaborative development on complex shared codebases.
- A focus on quality through automated testing
We also appreciate if you have one or more of the following:
- Experience with any of the following iOS technologies: Swift structured concurrency, Combine, SQLite/GRDB, Core Animation, Core Graphics, C++, PyTorch, ML algorithms, TypeScript, CI/CD.
- Personal interest in diet, nutrition and overall metabolic health
- Experience with health, wellness, or fitness products.
- Strong systems architecture and performance optimization experience.
- Ability to mentor other engineers and increase developer productivity across teams.
- Experience working asynchronously across countries and time zones.
