Contexte du Poste
Nous recherchons un Doctorant pour rejoindre le projet de recherche intitulé « International Entrepreneurship as an Engine of National Identity (EntreNational) », financé par le Conseil de la recherche de Finlande. Ce projet étudie comment l’entrepreneuriat international (IE) influence le développement de l’identité nationale (NI).
Responsabilités et Contributions
- Collecte et analyse de données qualitatives et historiques sur des entreprises sélectionnées, ainsi que sur leur contexte historique entre 1865 et 2024.
- Participation à un groupe de recherche multidisciplinaire, en coopérant avec d’autres chercheurs pour rédiger des publications et communiquer les résultats.
- Assistance aux tâches d’enseignement et aux responsabilités administratives.

Profil Recherché
Les candidats doivent posséder :
- Un master en affaires internationales, entrepreneuriat ou management international.
- Un dossier académique excellent.
- Une maîtrise de l’anglais écrit et parlé ainsi que de solides compétences en communication.
- Une connaissance des méthodes de recherche qualitative.
- La capacité à travailler dans une infrastructure universitaire moderne avec un plan de travail de 1612 heures par an.
Des compétences en langue finnoise et de l’expérience dans la recherche de cas, l’analyse historique et les approches discursives sont appréciées.
Conditions de Salaire et Durée
Le poste est fixe pour 4 ans, commençant à partir du 1er septembre 2025 ou dès que possible. Le salaire sera basé sur les niveaux 2 à 4 du barème de rémunération des enseignants et chercheurs des universités finlandaises, augmenté d’une composante variable basée sur la performance personnelle.

- As a doctoral researcher you are a member of the “International Entrepreneurship as an Engine of National Identity (EntreNational)” research project funded by the Research Council of Finland.
- On your part you will address some elements of the EntreNational’s research question, ‘How does international entrepreneurship (IE) shape the development of national identity (NI)?’
- Your doctoral research will contribute to the field of international entrepreneurship but has connections to other business and human science disciplines as the work takes place in a multidisciplinary research setting.
- In EntreNational project your responsibilities include the collection and analysis of historical, qualitative data on chosen case firms and on the historical contexts over the period 1865-2024.
- You will be part of a multidisciplinary research group in which you will act as a responsible researcher and will collaborate with others in conducting research, writing research publications and communicating the findings to various audiences.
- You will contribute to the research unit with some teaching assisting and administrative duties.

.Who are you?In order to succeed in this work, we expect from you:
- Master’s degree in international business/entrepreneurship/international business management or an other relevant field with significant studies in the mentioned fields
- Excellent previous study records
- Fluent written and spoken English and excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of and some experience in qualitative research methods
- Ability to operate in a modern university infrastructure within the frame of 1612 hours/year as specified in the work plan
We also appreciate
- Finnish language skills
- Experience in case study research, historical research, discursive approaches and discourse analytical methods
SalaryThe position is fixed-term for 4 years as of 1.9.2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.The salary will be based on the levels 2-4 of the demand level chart for teaching and research staff of Finnish universities. In addition, a salary component based on personal work performance will be paid (a maximum of 50 % of the job-specific component). The starting gross salary will be approx. 2500-2900 € per month (before taxes). A trial period of 6 months is applied in the position.How to apply?Interested?
