As a Graduate Property Paralegal, you’ll be a fully integrated member of our in-house legal function, working closely with experienced lawyers on retail leasing matters across our extensive store network in Australia and New Zealand.This is a great opportunity to develop your legal skills in a fast-paced commercial environment, with real responsibility, expert guidance, and support to grow your career.Requirements for Success
Under the supervision of our legal team, you’ll contribute to a wide range of property matters, including:

  • Reviewing and drafting leasing documents such as Agreements to Lease, Leases, Assignments, and Extensions
  • Preparing and updating standard lease templates, letters, variations, assignments, and renewals
  • Summarising and reviewing related documents including disclosure statements
  • Conducting legal research and drafting memos or opinions on retail leasing, commercial property, and compliance under relevant state-based tenancy legislation
  • Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders where required
  • Providing general administrative and legal support across the Legal team

Skills & Experience

  • You’re a recent law graduate or currently completing your final or penultimate year of an Bachelor of Law or Juris Doctor at an Australian university.
  • Coursework in property law and business law is highly regarded.
  • Experience in a legal, administrative, or corporate environment—particularly within a law firm or in-house legal team—will be seen as a strong advantage.
  • A genuine interest in commercial and retail leasing is essential
  • Able to commit to a minimum of three days per week over a 12-month period. We’re flexible and happy to accommodate university timetables where needed
  • Innovative and enthusiastic about simplifying ways of working
  • Familiarity with legal databases (e.g. Westlaw, LexisNexis)
