Description du poste : Tallogum Raspberries Pty. Lt are seeking a skilled and motivated Horticulture and Irrigation Specialist to join our team and help manage and maintain high-quality berry crop and green spaces through expert plant care and efficient irrigation systems.
Role Summary:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both horticultural practices and irrigation system management. You’ll be responsible for ensuring plant health, sustainability, and efficient water usage across our properties/projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement planting and maintenance plans for crops and green areas
- Design, install, and maintain efficient irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, automated)
- Monitor soil moisture and plant health, adjusting irrigation as needed
- Diagnose plant diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies; recommend treatment solutions
- Maintain tools, equipment, and records related to horticulture and irrigation
- Collaborate with farm manager and owners
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Irrigation Technology, or related field
- Proven experience in horticulture and irrigation system management
- Knowledge of water conservation practices and smart irrigation technologies
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license
Desirable:
- Certifications in irrigation installation/maintenance
- Familiarity with berry varieties eg. Blueberries, raspberries, blackberries
Salaire attendu : $60001 – 80000 per year
