Picture yourself as a vital part of our International Development Unit’s Business Development Team, working on competitive tenders for projects funded by prestigious institutions like the European Commission, European Investment Bank, and African Development Bank.Your roleGet ready to dive into a diverse range of tasks! As a junior professional, your role includes:Researching and analysing project background information in our core sectors of activitiesUndertake business intelligence research, preparation of synthesis and reports.Support Business Development Managers during the tender process for international projects, including administrative support following strict EU procurement procedures.Liaise with the client, project experts and project partners on day-to-day management of tender process.Manage large number of documents and data; maintain dashboards continuously up to date.Support Stantec recruitment team in the identification of external consultants, preparation of CV and related administrative documents.Qualifications:We’re on the hunt for go-getters with a solid academic background in fields related to our key sectors (climate change, energy, agriculture, digital environment etc.). While understanding the European Commission’s external assistance policies can give you an edge, your passion for sustainability and environmental conservation is just as crucial. If you’re fluent in English (French is a bonus), tech-savvy with MS Office, and a detail-focused multitasker who’s driven by results, then you’re exactly who we’re looking for! You should ideally have the following qualifications and demonstrate the following skills:Academic background relevant to Stantec sectors of interest.Knowledge of the European Commission external assistance policies would be considered as an advantage. A traineeship with the EC external aid services is an asset.Professional/Academic experience in the field of environment/energy/climate change or in a similar technical assistance environment would be considered as an asset.Languages: solid written and spoken English; French will be considered as an asset.IT-skills: advanced use of MS Office.Strong result-oriented personality.Multitask personality, rigorous, accuracy and attention to detail, with a dynamic work ethic approach.Creative, communicative, open-minded and willingness to work in an international environment.What we offer:Exciting two-year junior Programme: Begin your two-year adventure with a six-month paid traineeship contract.
