We are seeking an experienced Release Manager – Junior to oversee the release management process within our Salesforce environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing release cycles, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring seamless communication across various departments. This role is critical in maintaining the quality and efficiency of software releases while facilitating the continuous delivery of new functionalities. Responsibilities:Key Responsibilities:– Release Planning and Management:
– Plan and manage the release cycles for Salesforce orgs using tools like Copado.
– Coordinate with cross-functional teams (development, QA, product management) to schedule and execute releases effectively.
– Develop and maintain a release calendar to ensure timely deliveries.– Process Improvement:
– Identify areas for improvement in the release process and implement enhancements to CI/CD pipelines.
– Evaluate and implement tools that improve release quality and speed.
– Develop and enforce best practices for release management, including change management and risk assessment.– Communication and Coordination:
– Serve as the primary point of contact during the release process, facilitating communication between development, QA, and operations teams.
– Ensure all stakeholders are informed about release timelines, status updates, and potential impacts on existing services.
– Conduct post-release reviews to gather feedback and improve future release processes.– Quality Assurance:
– Maintain accountability for code quality, ensuring that versioning, coverage, and unit tests meet established standards.
– Collaborate with QA teams to define testing strategies and ensure sufficient testing is performed before each release.
– Manage release documentation, including release notes and operational runbooks.– Integration Management:
– Oversee external integrations with Salesforce, including API development and security considerations.
– Ensure that all integrations comply with organizational standards and practices.
– Work closely with IT and security teams to ensure that all releases meet compliance and security requirements.– Risk Management:
– Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the release process.
– Develop contingency plans for potential release failures or issues.– Training and Mentorship:
– Provide training and mentorship to team members on release management practices and tools.
– Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.– Experience:
– Minimum 8 years of experience in release management, particularly within Salesforce environments.
– Proven experience in leading Salesforce implementations, with a strong understanding of both Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.– Technical Skills:
– Proficiency in Salesforce development tools and methodologies.
– Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices, particularly in a Salesforce context.
– Strong understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and release management software, such as Copado.
– Knowledge of configuration management and automation tools.– Soft Skills:
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team collaboration.
– Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen attention to detail. Requirements:– Experience:
– Minimum 8 years of experience in release management, particularly within Salesforce environments.
– Proven experience in leading Salesforce implementations, with a strong understanding of both Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.– Technical Skills:
