Description du Poste

Responsabilités Principales :

Le Lead Portfolio Manager sera responsable de la gestion de portefeuille, de la supervision des projets et de la livraison des résultats. Plus précisément, ses tâches incluent, sans s’y limiter :

  • Gestion de portefeuille : Supervision de l’ensemble des activités au sein de l’une des trois zones de portefeuille (Industrial, Residential & Buildings, Civil & Infrastructure).
  • Coordination et planification : Interaction avec divers départements, y compris l’ingénierie et la planification, afin d’établir des plans de mise en œuvre et d’évaluation.
  • Analyse des performances : Surveillance des indicateurs de performance clés (KPI) et rapport au management sur l’état d’avancement des projets.
  • Gestion des parties prenantes : Participation aux négociations avec des agences réglementaires et organisations publiques pour garantir la conformité et le bon avancement des projets.

Exigences :

Les candidats doivent répondre à plusieurs critères, notamment :

  • Posséder un diplôme de Bachelor en ingénierie ou dans un domaine connexe.
  • Avoir un minimum de 15 ans d’expérience en gestion de portefeuille et de projet, avec au moins 5 ans dans des projets d’envergure.

Compétences Requises

Compétences Obligatorires :

  • Expérience avérée en gestion technique, en élaboration d’estimations budgétaires et en gestion de délais.
  • Excellentes compétences en communication en anglais, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit.
  • Capacité à travailler sous pression tout en assurant la satisfaction des clients.

Compétences Souhaitées :

  • Certification professionnelle (PE ou PMP) est un atout considérable.
  • Connaissance approfondie des pratiques et réglementations industrielles.

This is a senior position/level that requires managing and leveraging the lifecycle of initiatives, programs, projects, and outcomes to optimally achieve the Clients goals and objectives. The successful candidate will provide direction and portfolio / project management for medium and large-size projects and is responsible for planning, programing, coordination, scope management and overall implementation of the dedicated portfolio area to meet the overall client goals and objectives. Plans and defines the overall Portfolio and develops in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and stakeholder requirements.Supervision Received: Manager of Projects Management Department & Manager of Projects Planning Section Internal Contacts: All staff identified as team members on the projects assigned; other disciplines and departments External Contacts: Clients, suppliers, subcontractors, Government Agencies, as necessaryWhat You’ll Be Doing:Act as Portfolio Manager for overall coordination and management of one of three Portfolio Areas (Industrial / Residential & Buildings / Civil & Infrastructure).Interface with Master Planning, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Network Operators, and all other stakeholders, to define the technical design basis, schedule, development Implementation plan, lead efforts, of RFP development, tender bidding, and award, and manage the overall Pre-Award RFP development process and Stakeholders Management, up to and including Award of projects.Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and public meetings in support of clientEnsure project reviews and project stage gate meetings are being undertakenAnalyze key performance indicators to produce reports on portfolio and projectsEscalate issues that threaten the portfolio and project successHighlight priority projects which are required to support the Clients’ overall vision and goalsReporting on performance of their Portfolio to the Section Manager and Client DirectorsResponsible for ensuring scope, budgets and schedules are on track for their overall portfolioProvide help and guidance to the Project ManagersWork with Projects Planning to determine annual and 5-year work plansHighlight any shortcomings or concerns with existing & planned projectsIdentify ways to improve the Portfolio and provide close coordination with the Project Delivery TeamsResponsible for the review & distribution of Project Charters within Portfolio areaAssign responsibility for executing projects to key subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths.Provide input into performance reviews and development plans for subordinates.Field responsibilities may include labor relations, local procurement, and payroll operations, etc., if requiredDiscusses the qualifications required for any key project positions in specific detail with the department managers, directors, and section managersWork with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the Portfolio Area. Ensures that the Portfolio meets or exceeds goals established in these plansWork with the key project individuals to devise and execute action plans to rectify potential conflicts, coordination issues, delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work. Advise the client of any such changesPromote technical and commercial excellence through application of Quality Assurance processes.Monitor and report to management on the progress of the Portfolio, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule.Establish Weekly meetings to review project status and formulate action items.Reporting of projects progress status.Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.What Required Skills You’ll Bring:A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related subject.A minimum of 15 years of experience working within the field of Portfolio Management / Project Management with at least 5 years managing major capital projects.
