Description Générale du Rôle
Le poste de Liquid R&D Scientist EMEA est crucial pour mener des projets de développement de produits et d’autres initiatives de recherche et développement pour la région EMEA. Le candidat sélectionné sera intégré au process de développement de produits et sera chargé de la gestion de projets et de systèmes.
Responsabilités Clés
Nouveaux Développements de Produits
- Diriger les projets de développement de nouveaux produits par la création de formulations ou de processus innovants.
- Conduire des projets de rénovation visant à explorer des formulations et des ingrédients alternatifs.
- Identifier des opportunités d’amélioration des produits et des processus.
Gestion de l’Équipement de Pilot Plant
- Gérer une petite ligne de production au sein de la pilote, incluant la maintenance et la sécurité.
- Surveiller les opérations de pilot plant depuis le mélange jusqu’à l’embouteillage.
- Assurer la conformité des formulations avec les exigences légales et industrielles.
Recherche et Innovation
- Collaborer avec les équipes marketing pour générer des projets d’innovation.
- Mener ou soutenir des recherches exploratoires en R&D pour bâtir et maintenir l’innovation.
Exigences du Poste
Le candidat idéal doit avoir entre 3 et 5 ans d’expérience en développement de produits et détenir un Baccalauréat en sciences alimentaires, chimie, biologie ou ingénierie chimique. Les compétences requises incluent :
- Excellentes compétences en chimie et mathématiques.
- Compétences solides en gestion de projet.
- Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais.

Campari Group is today the sixth-largest player worldwide in the premium spirits industry.General Description of the RoleThe Liquid R&D Scientist will lead Product Development and other related research and development (R&D) initiatives for Campari Group’s EMEA Region. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the product development process and will be responsible for Management of projects and systems.The candidate will also manage pilot plant equipment and activities, working on new project developments from ideation phase, through the development steps up to the final production.Key Responsibilities and ActivitiesNew Product Development & Renovations
- Lead new product development projects by developing new formulations and/or new processes.
- Lead ingredient qualifications.
- Lead renovation projects that may explore alternate formulations, ingredients, suppliers and/or processes.
- Identify opportunities for improvement related to products and processes and support the technical feasibility.
- Support plants and/or comanufacturers on product and process optimization.
- Batch and process formulas of semi-finished and finished prototypes or products needed for marketing and/or additional testing.
- Request and organize necessary technical documentation from suppliers.
- Ensure compliance of formulations with all relevant market requirements.
- Ensure formulations meet budget requirements.
- Execute accelerated stability testing plans and analyze results to predict shelf life and/or stability of products.
- Manage across multiple systems documentation control of all necessary ingredients, technical information, process directions, and formulations.
- Define and populate product specifications within a global centralized system.
- Build and manage liquid bills of material within a global centralized system.
- Oversee first production of products to ensure successful industrialization.
- Train plant personnel as well as marketing and commercial teams on new products.
- Design and execute scientific/R&D experiments, analyze results, and summarize conclusions and next steps.
- Provide support to Legal, Operations and Commercial teams on technical inquiries related to products.
- Support in technical assessments and/or audits of current and potential suppliers and/or co-manufacturers, when necessary.
Pilot Plant
- Manage a small production line driving people, maintenance, SAP, services, and all related activities (HACCP, pest control, Safety, etc).
- Ensure proper maintenance of pilot plant and equipment.
- Oversee pilot scale operations from blending, filtration, carbonation, to bottling.
- Work with stakeholders to facilitate projects to be produced in the pilot plant.
- Support in the pilot plant budget proposals and management.
Innovation Pipeline and Exploratory Research
- Partner with marketing and project management teams to generate and execute innovation projects and initiatives.
- Support and/or lead exploratory R&D to build and sustain innovation.
- Support marketing in ideation sessions and workshops.
- Keep up to date with technological innovations and develop new innovations and/or improvements that unlock new opportunities for Campari Group.
Experience Required
3-5 years of product development experience is required.Education / Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or other science subject.Must-Have Skills
- Strong chemistry and mathematical skills
- Strong project management skills and experience
- Excellent communication skills and team work ability
- Sensory experience of foods and/or beverages
- Keen understanding of good manufacturing and laboratory practices
- Knowledgeable of regulatory compliance
- Data analysis experience
- Proficiency in Italian and English
