Description du poste : Overview THE ROLE: This role is responsible for leading Operations Compliance in APAC. Creating & maintaining a structure which ensures full compliance and continuous focus on compliance within Distribution Operations. Developing a compliance mindset within the team and partners (service providers, carriers, customs brokers). Building and maintaining a solid ‘second line of defense’ within Distribution Operations. Qualifications HOW THIS ROLE WOULD CONTRIBUTE: Operations Compliance Develops and maintains a good compliance & ethical mindset and knowledge, ensuring that people take the high road, understand the risks and are well equipped to take the right decisions. Regularly reviews the availability, correctness and efficiency of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all aspects of Distribution Operations (including H&S, Inventory Control, QA, Security) Closely cooperates with experts (Owners of SOPs) on building and maintaining a complete set op guiding documents for the operations. Keeps a close eye on changes in (local) laws and regulations and coordinates any possible actions. Ensures timely and effective implementation of new or updated procedures and instructions within the region (including required training) Regularly checks actual operational execution versus legal, Policy and/or SOP requirements, based on controls and frequency as set in the Distribution Control Framework (DCF). Files related proof and reports on any deviations. Together with experts, regularly reviews the completeness, effectiveness and frequencies of controls and coordinates actions if required. Oversees any Distribution Operations related licenses & certificates (bonded warehouse license, fire safety etc); advices on requirements, audits adherence and escalates any possible risk, non-compliance. Coordinates activities & communication around internal , quality & SOX audits, including the follow up on any open findings. Supports the region on any compliance related topic and acts as intermediary and coordinator between subject matter experts such as QA, Customs, Governmental Affairs, Licensing. Reports, investigates and evaluates any major incident, accident, penalty, fine, etc related to the operations and coordinates any preventive actions. Regularly reports on compliance related topics and KPI’s to relevant stakeholders. Initiates sharing of best practices and continuous improvements actions. Initiates a yearly risk assessment on the regional Distribution Operations with relevant parties; discusses concerns with the regional lead and defines required actions. Initiates ad hoc risk assessments in situations where impact on (local) operations could be expected and coordinates actions if required. Active participant of the Global Distribution Compliance Team (GDCT). Within the GDCT, contributes to the maintenance and further development of the control structure (House of Control) and acts as subject matter expert for one or more DC related areas. Promotes, initiates and coordinates ESG (Environment – Social – Governance) related projects within Distribution Operations. Being the first point of contact in relation to ESG matters. Others Supports the Global Distribution Compliance Team and /or other regions per request SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The position would work with both Global Compliance , Inventory Control, Regional Distribution & Logistics , Controllership , Operational Accounting, GTS, SOX & Audit teams to review compliance to policies for both operations & inventory control. Direct reports would be added in the future based on expansion of the team. SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: 10-12 years working experience in Distribution Operations Compliance role Strong Leadership skills along with the ability to function as an effective team member, ability to interact effectively with all levels & work well in a moderate stressful environment Good communication skills in English ( both Oral & Written ), presentation and reporting skills. Good Assessment & Interpretation Skills with strong analytical & planning skills Critical Thinking & Investigative Skills Result Oriented with ability to carry out responsibilities with minimum supervision , direction Good time management , multi-tasking skills with ability to prioritize works, Problem solving skills with both creative and analytical thinking Good organizational skills with the ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves. Strong Computer skills including experience with inventory management systems and ERP software like Oracle is a preference.
