Description du poste : Duties:

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of the annual sub-unit plan and budget, monitor and report on expenditure and progress.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting on performance information (APP).
  • Oversee the effective implementation of the Accreditation process.
  • Develop and quality assure Monitoring and Extension of Scope reports for timely submission to the Accreditation Committee of Council (ACC).
  • Maintain and improve quality assurance processes for independent schools, private colleges, and private assessment bodies. Manage the conduct of monitoring site visits.
  • Build stakeholder relationships.
  • Coordinate activities for the DHET-Umalusi registration /accreditation joint task team.
  • Build and maintain constructive relationships with stakeholders and promote quality through provider forums and other platforms.
  • Manage sub-unit operations and compliance to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Induct new staff into the sub-unit.
  • Supervise, coach and mentor sub-unit staff to develop internal capacity and capability to effectively execute sub-unit objectives.
  • Perform other tasks as delegated by the Senior Manager. •Develop a draft framework for the quality assurance of the offering of the National Senior Certificate for Adults (NASCA).

Requirements:

  • An Honours degree in Education with specialisation in Assessment, Curriculum or Education Management.
  • A professional teaching qualification.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the education field with at least 5 years at a supervisory level.
  • Current registration with the South African Council for Educators. Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in developing strategic documents.
  • Experience in policy drafting, maintenance, and implementation (monitoring).
  • In-depth understanding of the South African education landscape.
  • Ability to present high quality work, self- managing, dynamic and self-motivated.
  • Strong interpersonal, planning, execution, project management, technical, facilitation, training, and coordination skills. •Proven leadership skills and experience in managing financial and human resources.

Added advantage:

  • Experience working with private colleges/ TVET sector and understanding their operational context.
  • Experience in the Evaluation and accreditation of Independent schools and/ or private colleges.
