Description du poste : Leonardo Helicopters have a Support and Training Contract with the Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Public Security for the new AW101 Norwegian All Weather Search and Rescue Helicopter (NAWSARH). As part of this program, we have established a multi-discipline in-country liaison team.Headed up by the Key Account Manager, the in-country liaison team shall be responsible for the coordination and delivery of all elements for the term of the Contract to ensure Search and Rescue (SAR) Helicopter availability.The Material Controller will be part of the in-country liaison team and report to the Material Operations Manager. The Material Controller shall be responsible for the continuous monitoring and reporting of all matters pertaining to the material performance levels including any risks to maintaining these and opportunities for improvement. About the RoleLeonardo is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Material Controller to join the NAWSARH in-country liaison team at the operating location at Sola. This role is central to supporting the Joint Aircraft Availability Management Office (JAAMO) in the coordination and delivery of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) under the Contract.As the Material Controller you will oversee material and supply operations, ensure availability of required components and tooling, support base maintenance activities, and act as a key link between Leonardo and the Royal Norwegian Air Force (RNoAF). Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise the team of Material Officers at the Sola base.Act as the primary Material Controller for all material deliverables.Coordinate material, tooling, and POL (Petrol Oil and Lubricants) requirements to support aircraft maintenance activities.Process material demands and transactions using the Company ERP System (SAP), ensuring data integrity.Ensure compliance with Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) standards, including Dangerous Goods Regulations.Perform stock checks, receive and process deliveries and unserviceable items, including Special Category Work (SCW) components.Liaise effectively with customer and internal departments to ensure smooth operation and information flow.Participate in safety and base audits, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Monitor team performance, conduct evaluations, provide coaching, and ensure effective team development.Maintain flexibility to support other locations in Norway on short notice, including extended deployments and irregular working patterns. Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in material management or supply chain logistics, with leadership responsibilities.Proven ability to manage inventory, lead teams, and coordinate logistical operations in a demanding environment.Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.Fluent in English (written and spoken). Norwegian language skills would be an advantage.Forklift license is required. Desirable AttributesSelf-motivated and capable of working independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.Flexible and responsive to changing priorities and operational needs.Commercially aware with attention to detail and a professional approach.Experience within aerospace or defense environments is an advantage.
