This role involves designing, analyzing, and optimizing mechanical structures to ensure high performance, reliability, and manufacturability. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in structural mechanics, material selection, and CAD modeling. Experience in washing machine design and manufacturing will be highly valued.
- Responsible for the design of localized product structures and platform design for the Brazil base;
- Responsible for structural review of components, component testing, sample confirmation, trial production, and pilot production;
- Responsible for continuous improvement of the Brazil base platform, cost and product quality optimization;
- Responsible for closing the loop on mass production and market product issues.
- Design and develop mechanical structures for various applications, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project requirements;
- Perform structural analysis using simulation tools (FEA) to evaluate stress, strain, and load-bearing capacity;
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to enhance product performance and durability;
- Develop detailed technical drawings and 3D models using CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD, or similar);
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, and project management to optimize designs;
- Conduct design reviews and propose improvements based on testing and analysis results;
- Ensure all designs meet safety, environmental, and industry-specific regulatory requirements;
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation processes;
- Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues in production and assembly stages;
- Develop and optimize structural designs specifically for washing machines, considering durability, energy efficiency, and ease of manufacturing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field;
- Proven experience in mechanical structural design, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments;
- Proficiency in CAD software for 3D modeling and technical drawings;
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and simulation tools;
- Strong knowledge of materials science and mechanical properties;
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations;
- Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical and critical thinking skills;
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
