La New Zealand Female Pelvic Mesh Service a été mise en place pour répondre aux défis posés par les complications résultant de l’utilisation de mailles pelviennes. Suivant les recommandations du rapport sur la justice réparatrice, ce service vise à améliorer la vie des femmes ayant subi des interventions liées à l’incontinence urinaire et au prolapsus d’organes pelviens.
Le poste de Fellow Urologie/Urogynécologie est basé au North Shore Hospital d’Auckland, offrant une excellente opportunité de rejoindre une équipe pluridisciplinaire dédiée à la santé des femmes. Ce service est organisé à travers deux pôles en Nouvelle-Zélande, l’autre étant situé à Ōtautahi (Christchurch).
Responsabilités Clés
Les candidats retenus auront les responsabilités suivantes :
- Participation aux cliniques multidisciplinaires et aux opérations programmées.
- Engagement à être d’astreinte et à travailler lors des heures non conventionnelles dans le cadre du service d’urologie et du roster des mailles.
- Participation à la recherche clinique et aux programmes d’évaluation clinique, en collaboration avec le directeur clinique et le co-leader national.
- Contribution à maintenir des standards cliniques élevés ainsi que le professionnalisme au sein de l’équipe.
- Collaboration avec la direction pour atteindre les objectifs d’affaires et cliniques convenus.
Profil Recherché
Les candidats doivent posséder au minimum le titre de Fellow FRACS et être éligibles à l’enregistrement auprès du Conseil Médical de Nouvelle-Zélande. Une solide formation en urodynamique et en décision clinique est également requise, en plus d’une expérience en chirurgie robotique et en réparation vaginale.

📝 Description du poste : NZ Female Pelvic Mesh ServiceTe Whatu Ora – WaitemataThe New Zealand Female Pelvic Mesh Service (the Service) has been developed over a number of years and follows recommendations outlined in the Restorative Justice report; Hearing and responding to the stories of survivors of surgical mesh: Ngā kōrero a ngā mōrehu – he urupare. This report highlighted the severity of harm and the impact on the lives of those experiencing complications from surgical mesh.This is a national service, delivered across two hubs, one in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) and one in Ōtautahi (Christchurch). The Model of Care and specifications that underpin the Service, and the vision it aspires to deliver are the outcome of a 2-year consumer co-design process.The Northern hub based at North Shore Hospital Auckland requires a full time Urology/Urogynaecology Fellow to support the Mesh multi-disciplinary team in delivering accessible, evidenced based health investigations, and treatment to women with suspected complications from mesh inserted to treat Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI) or Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP).The Fellowship incorporates female and functional urology including robotic surgery , vaginal surgery , repair of fistula and urethral diverticulum, urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. There is also a strong emphasis on urodynamics and clinical decision making.Some key responsibilities:· Participate in Multi-disciplinary team outpatient clinics and scheduled operating sessions.
