Description du poste : We have an exciting opportunity for a Non-Medical Prescriber to join our Primary Care team at HMP Hewell, a category B Prison located in Redditch, Worcestershire.In this role you’ll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.The site currently offers a 24-hour service, across 7 days per week.37.5 hours- likely 9am-5pm but must be flexible.You will be expected to work a mixture of days and night shift as well as every other weekend and bank holidays.Potential night shifts/weekend workThis position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £55,996 per annum – depending on experience.How will we support you?

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.What you’ll be doingAs a Non-Medical Prescriber your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Undertake Clinical Nursing Practice at an advanced level using expert knowledge and clinical skills
  • Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues
  • Provide treatment as required, including prescribing medication, within their sphere of competence
  • To carry out comprehensive assessments of patients looked after

  • Registered professional with current active registration (NMC, GPHC, HCPC)
  • Non-medical prescribing qualification
  • Understanding and knowledge of policy developments related to the delivery
  • Knowledge of national standards that inform practice (eg National Service Frameworks, NICE guidelines etc)

In this role, I can really enhance my leadership skills- both clinical and non-clinical- as well as my managerial skills, I can engage with other clinicians to lead by example, and inspire and motivate other clinicians. I’m thriving in this role and am really enjoying it.
