Description du Poste
Nous recherchons un ingénieur de recherche senior qui se distingue par sa passion et sa curiosité, pour rejoindre notre équipe de recherche maritime. Ce poste se concentrera sur :
- Modélisation des émissions maritimes
- Amélioration de l’efficacité des navires
C’est une occasion unique de contribuer au développement de solutions basées sur des données scientifiques pour soutenir la transition vers des opérations maritimes plus propres et plus efficaces.
Responsabilités Typiques
- Participer à des projets de recherche axés sur les coûts, avantages et risques des technologies de décarbonisation et des carburants alternatifs.
- Développer des normes et recommandations pour l’évaluation des émissions et de l’efficacité des navires.
- Publier des prévisions, articles scientifiques, rapports techniques et présentations professionnelles.
- Concevoir et gérer des projets de recherche en partenariat avec des institutions académiques et des acteurs de l’industrie.
- Collaborer avec des parties prenantes internes et externes pour comprendre les besoins de l’industrie.

Qualifications Requises
Les candidats doivent posséder :
- Un MSc ou PhD en sciences environnementales, ingénierie chimique, technologie marine, chimie physique, statistiques ou un domaine connexe.
- Une expérience de 5 ans minimum en recherche et développement, ou une expérience pertinente à bord dans les domaines cités.
- Des connaissances dans la modélisation des émissions, des systèmes de gestion de l’énergie à bord des navires, et des technologies d’efficacité énergétique.

- Engage in research projects to build knowledge, competence, and insights into the costs, benefits, and risks of future decarbonization technologies, alternative fuels, and their value chains.
- Develop standards, recommended practices, and associated tools for assessing emissions, fuel consumption, and vessel efficiency technologies.
- Publish forecasts, scientific papers, non-technical reports, and professional presentations.
- Initiate, design, and manage new research projects in partnership with academia and industry (e.g., EU, NFR, JIP).
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand industry needs and pilot solutions.

- MSc or PhD in environmental sciences, chemical engineering, marine technology, physical chemistry, statistics, or a related field
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Emissions from (maritime) transport: modeling or measurement of emissions to air and water, techno-economic analyses, life-cycle assessments (LCA), emission control, and abatement technologies
- Energy use onboard vessels: energy management systems, hybrid or alternative propulsion systems, fuel optimization through operational measures, energy efficiency technologies, or routing strategies
- Insights into some aspects of the maritime industry, such as ship propulsion systems, vessel design and retrofitting, alternative fuels, bunkering, decision support tools, operational practices, maritime regulations, and compliance
- 5+ years of experience in research and development, or relevant onboard experience in the topics above
