Responsabilités Principales
En tant que Specialist Case Manager, le candidat travaillera directement avec les personnes en situation d’itinérance, en utilisant une approche *Housing First*. Les principales missions incluent :
- Améliorer les conditions de vie des personnes touchées par l’itinérance.
- Développer des plans de logement et de soutien en collaboration avec les personnes concernées et les propriétaires.
- Assurer un suivi continu pour maintenir des baux stables.
Profil Recherché
Ce poste s’adresse à des travailleurs sociaux enregistrés, désireux de travailler pour un monde sans itinérance. Les compétences et expériences requises incluent :
- Expérience avérée en tant que travailleur social enregistré.
- Compréhension de Te Tiriti O Waitangi, Reo Māori et Tikanga.
- Engagement à travailler avec des communautés Māori et Pasifika.
- Bonne forme physique et permis de conduire néo-zélandais à jour.
- Compréhension des approches de réduction des risques et du modèle Housing First (formation fournie).

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | The role
This role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday based in Tauranga Moana. We’re open to discussing flexible start and finish times between 7am and 4:30pm.As a Specialist Case Manager in Tauranga Moana improving living conditions alongside people experiencing homelessness will be your mahi. Reporting to your Team Leader, you’ll use your Social Worker experience to provide manaakitanga to Taangata whai ora, advocate, and promote tino rangatiratanga. Guided by the Housing First approach, your focus is securing stable housing and connecting Taangata whai ora with services for full social inclusion. You’ll work with your team, Taangata whai ora and landlords, create housing and support plans, and provide ongoing support to sustain tenancies.Mōu | About YouAre you passionate about social justice, believe everyone deserves opportunities and a place to call home, and think building strong communities is key to a better world?You’ll have a knack for connecting with people, a blend of street smarts and compassion, and an ability to link individuals to the right resources and services. - Proven experience working as a Registered Social Worker
- Basic understanding of Te Tiriti O Waitangi, Reo Māori and Tikanga, with the desire to learn, share and grow in this area
- Experience engaging with Māori and Pasifika is highly valued
- Good physical fitness
- A current full and clean New Zealand driver’s license
- An understanding of the harm-reduction and Housing First approaches is advantageous, but not essential, as training will be provided
- This role sits under the Social Worker pay spine
