Over the last 10 years this global expansion has enabled ACCU EMEA, with offices including Germany, UK, South Africa and Russia, to provide professional and efficient services across a range of industries including automotive, consumer electronics and e-mobility.We are looking to acquire a seasoned Operations Manager in the Automotive Industry to manage our Quality Control Project teams in Silverton and any future sites, securing smooth operation, desired quality, and customer satisfaction with a well-disciplined workforce.Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for the Business Unit, Operations and development, goals (productivity, cost control, quality) of a particular site (Ford site and any future sites)
Responsible for securing resources including manpower, skills and technical equipment
Confirm the performance indicators and achievement of a particular site
Conduct and assess the work of project managers and project engineers
Assist other sites at the request of BU Head
Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols
Increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance the company’s internal capacity
Conduct periodic reviews with team Project Manager and Project Coordinators, and drive corrective action where required
Coordinate between interface partners and production; maintain good communication with suppliers and customers; regularly attend tripartite meetings with customers or suppliers
Maintain on-site customer relationships to comply with operational requirements, meet dynamic customer demands, and provide daily feedback
Provide timely resolution of abnormal situations and emergencies in the workflow; coordinate with related departments
Manage and mobilize on-site personnel; assist the project leader in implementing competency assessments
Resolve and evaluate customer complaints and quality problems due to employee factors; identify training needs
Assist in formulating SOPs, examining on-site practices, and handling customer complaints with timely feedback
Support the business department in evaluating order profit and risk
Propose employment needs based on project evaluationsDesired Experience & Qualification
Grade 12
Industrial Engineering or similar qualification
Proven experience in Manufacturing and Automotive (OEM) environments
Commercial awareness with effective negotiation skills
Technical aptitude
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Team-oriented approach
Driving license and own transport
Minimum 10 years of experience in quality management/project management/operations management in the automotive industry
Advanced knowledge and expertise in quality and project/operations management
Direct experience with an automotive developer will be advantageous
Mastery of typical quality methods and tools (FMEA, PPAP/VDA, 8D, 5S)
Familiarity with ISO TS16949 and flexible application of automotive tools
Strong organizational and people management skills
