Exigences et Qualifications

Éducation : Diplôme universitaire (Bachelor) dans un des domaines suivants :

  • Gestion d’entreprise
  • Gestion financière
  • Comptabilité
  • Finance publique
  • Fonctions opérationnelles (logistique, ressources humaines, etc.)

Expérience : Minimum de 2 ans d’expérience dans la gestion opérationnelle, incluant des domaines tels que la gestion budgétaire et la logistique. Une expérience au sein d’une agence des Nations Unies ou dans un contexte humanitaire est un atout.

The role serves as a strategic bridge between programme implementation and operational support, ensuring that programme results are underpinned by sound operational planning, risk-informed decision-making, and compliance with corporate policies and standards.This role assures the best use of UNICEF assets in alignment with sound management practices, office priorities and goals to deliver results for children.How can you make a difference?

  • Facilitating services in the functional areas of operations support: budget, financial management and reporting, facilities management, administration, supply and logistics management, and safety and security.
  • Coordinate with HR focal points as needed to support, onboarding processes, and administrative arrangements for new staff.
  • Enhance partnership oversight and promote the use of digital tools and data analytics for programme monitoring and continuous improvement. Including the HACT framework and contribute to results-based management with implementing partnership (IP) management
  • Support to HACT planning during the programming process
  • Support to implementation of assurance activities
  • Understanding business needs for the office, to propose viable solutions aimed at value for money.
  • Providing regular feedback on risks and achievements of operations functions in the office.
  • Supporting the management of office premises and facilities with a specific focus on inclusive accessibility, eco sustainability and common premises.
  • Supporting the section during external and internal audit reviews, contributing with audit observations and monitoring implementation of recommendations.
  • Facilitating business transactions processed by GSSC from a perspective of Efficiency, Performance, Risk Management and Fraud prevention

  • Business management
  • Financial management
  • Accounting
  • Public Finance
  • Related operations function (Supply Chain, Human Resources, Information Technology, International Business, Project management, etc.)
  • A professional license from internationally recognized institutions is an asset.

Work Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional experience, at the national and/or international level, is required, specifically in one or more operations management area including budget; financial management and reporting; facilities management; administration; supply and logistics management

  • Experience in a UN system agency, large private or public company, or experience working in a developing country and/or humanitarian/ emergency context is an asset.
  • Experience in working with corporate ERPs (Enterprise Resource Planning) and IPSAS (International Public Sector Accounting Standards) is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in or supporting innovation, agile teams, or non-traditional programme models is a strong asset.
  • Understanding of Results Based Management is a requirement.
  • Experience in supporting successful client-oriented work units is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
