Responsabilités Principales :
Le rôle de *High School History & Social Studies Teacher* est destiné à un(e) professionnel(le) dédié(e) à l’éducation, travaillant sous la supervision du directeur du lycée et en étroite collaboration avec les rédacteurs de programmes, les collègues et les coordinateurs.
Responsabilités en Salle de Classe :
Le candidat doit être en mesure de fournir des opportunités d’apprentissage adaptées à chaque élève, en établissant des relations basées sur le respect mutuel. Les initiatives doivent favoriser un environnement d’apprentissage stimulant et accueillant.
Planification, Curriculum et Responsabilités Organisationnelles :
Le(la) candidat(e) s’engagera à concevoir des unités d’enseignement significatives, en utilisant des stratégies pédagogiques efficaces et en offrant des retours constructifs aux élèves pour les accompagner dans leur développement académique et social.
Développement Professionnel :
L’engagement à une mentalité de croissance est essentiel, avec une participation à des formations continues sur les meilleures pratiques pédagogiques. Cela inclut la collaboration avec des coaches et des administrateurs pour concevoir un cycle d’apprentissage enrichissant pour les étudiants.
Engagement Communautaire
Le(la) candidat(e) sera également chargé(e) de partager les progrès des élèves avec la communauté de l’International School of Panama (ISP). Qualifications de Base :
Un minimum de cinq années d’expérience dans l’enseignement de l’histoire et des sciences sociales, un diplôme pertinent (Licence ou Master) et une forte maîtrise de l’anglais sont requis. Une sensibilité interculturelle et un esprit international sont également des éléments importants pour exceller dans ce poste.

📝 Description du poste : HS History & Social Studies Teacher Reports to: High School Principal or designee Collaborates closely with: Assistant Principals, Head of Department, Curriculum & Instructional Coach, K-12 Coordinators and Specialists, and other colleagues as appropriate. Responsibilities: (Including but not limited to) Classroom Responsibilities: To provide learning opportunities for every child relative to his needs, abilities, and stages of development establishing effective relationships with students based on mutual respect, recognizing the individuality of each child, ensuring an effective and challenging learning environment, and ensuring the classroom is an attractive and welcoming place. Planning, Curriculum, and Organizational Responsibilities: To design authentic and meaningful units by starting with the end in mind. Use effective instructional strategies to make learning interactive, exciting, meaningful, and social. Develop and manage classroom resources. Provide students feedback to support their academic and social-emotional growth. Use standards to guide evaluation of student work, and record results to provide an accurate assessment of student achievement. Professional Development Expectations: To embrace a growth mindset by keeping up-to-date on best practices, engaging in teacher development opportunities, participating in in-service courses, attending professional meetings as scheduled by Leadership, seeking out and using feedback from coaches and administrators, and participating in the ISP professional learning cycle as outlined in the evaluation process. Community Expectations: Engage with our ISP community by sharing updates on the progress and development of the students in the teacher’s care, as well as important events happening in the classroom. Find opportunities to meet with parents, caregivers, and guardians to discuss the progress and development of the students, and collaborate to support the child’s specific needs, interests, and passions. Connect with our larger community by attending PTA events, athletics events, and various student performances.
