Définition de l’apprentissage

Responsabilités du poste :
Le professeur de théâtre au niveau intermédiaire a pour mission de :
- Fournir des possibilités d’apprentissage adaptées aux besoins de chaque élève.
- Créer des unités d’enseignement authentiques et significatives.
- Produire et diriger des pièces de théâtre pour des performances scolaires et publiques.
- Évaluer les élèves à l’aide d’évaluations authentiques basées sur des normes.
- Contribuer à une atmosphère d’apprentissage positive et stimulante.
- Collaborer intensivement avec des collègues et participer à des projets communs.
- Assurer le soutien et le mentorat d’un groupe de 8 à 12 élèves.

Qualifications minimales :
- Trois ans d’expérience dans un domaine pertinent.
- Expérience dans l’enseignement de cours de théâtre.
- Connaissance des modèles de conception pédagogique par rétroaction.
- Diplôme pertinent (Licence ou Master).
- Maîtrise élevée de l’anglais.
- Sensibilité interculturelle.

DRAMA at ISPStudents use theatre as a platform to express themselves as performers, designers, directors, and creators. The purpose behind drama in Middle School is to help students fall in love with performing through creating, exploring, devising, and improvisation. These courses are designed to provide students with a broad experience of theatre and drama in different forms, providing them with the skills to use voice, body, imagination, concentration, and collaboration. Students have opportunities to perform in front of audiences and are also able to develop technical and production skills in our fully equipped black box studio.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Support the ISP Teaching and Learning Philosophy by developing and teaching a curriculum that engages all learners in purposeful, connected, and balanced work that cultivates 21st-century skills
- Plan with the end in mind (Understanding by Design or other backward design models) to develop units that are focused on essential questions and enduring understandings.
- Produce and direct plays for school and public performances.
- Design authentic assessments (and aligned standards-based rubrics) to measure student learning in a real-world setting
- Provide frequent feedback to students to help guide them in their learning process. Report on student progress using standards-based grading
- Build a robust learning atmosphere that leads students to value being at school and feel part of a challenging yet joyful and inclusive learning community
- Help ensure that all students achieve key learning outcomes for the grade level, targeting instruction thoughtfully to address individual needs
- Collaborate intensively and daily with colleagues both within the division as well as vertically (K-12) to continually improve student learning and school culture. Work collaboratively to create cross-curricular learning opportunities.

Requisitos:BASIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
- At least 3 years of experience in relevant subject area or grade level
- Experience teaching drama/theater classes – ideally experience working on a musical production
- Experience with backwards design and authentic assessment
- Bachelor or Master Degree in relevant subject area
- High level of English proficiency
- Cross cultural sensitivity and an international mindset
- Previous experience in an international school is desirable
- Experience in Standards-Based Grading is desirable
