  • Availability: Significant daily travel within the assigned territory is required. Periodic travel within Portuguese territory for meetings or training may also be necessary.

About the Opportunity:ALTEN Portugal is establishing a dedicated Contract Sales Team within its Life Sciences division. This team will be responsible for promoting an innovative portfolio of products in the obesity therapeutic area on behalf of a key client in the pharmaceutical industry. We are recruiting 9 dynamic and results-oriented Pharmaceutical Sales Representatives to engage Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) across Portugal. This is a unique opportunity to represent cutting-edge treatments and make a significant impact on patient care, specifically targeting Primary Care & Pharmacy.Main Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell a specialized portfolio of obesity products to targeted HCPs (Primary Care & Pharmacy) within your assigned territory.
  • Build, develop, and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key HCPs and relevant stakeholders.
  • Analyze market dynamics to develop and meticulously implement territory action plans, ensuring achievement of sales targets and project objectives.
  • Provide regular, insightful reports on sales performance, market trends, competitor activity, and feedback from HCPs.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand product reach and market share in alignment with project strategy.
  • Attend and actively participate in regular training sessions to ensure a high level of product, therapeutic area, and compliance knowledge.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in strict adherence to relevant pharmaceutical laws, regulations, ethical codes, and established project compliance standards.
  • Work collaboratively with ALTEN colleagues and relevant project stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all sales activities and customer interactions using the provided CRM system.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and scientific support to all HCPs.

Required Profile

  • Higher education (preferably in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Management, Marketing, or related areas).
  • 3-4 years of proven experience as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, with strong exposure to Primary Care and/or Pharmacy channels.
  • Documented experience and established professional relationships is highly preferred and will be a key selection factor.
  • Experience in therapeutic areas such as Obesity, Cardiometabolic diseases, Diabetes, or Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) is a strong asset.
  • Demonstrable ability to understand, interpret, and effectively communicate complex scientific and medical information.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities with a proactive approach.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and results-driven with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems; knowledge of SAP is valued.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
  • Valid Portuguese driving license and willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
  • Fluent in Portuguese; professional working proficiency in English is required for reporting and internal communication.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy, as well as collaboratively within a team structure.
