La Faculté des Sciences Environnementales et de Gestion des Ressources Naturelles de l’Université norvégienne des sciences de la vie (NMBU) propose un poste de doctorat de trois ans portant sur les services de pollinisation au sein des vergers de pommiers, avec un accent sur l’écologie des paysages. Ce projet de recherche, intitulé “L’effet de l’habitat à l’échelle du paysage et de la disponibilité des ressources florales sur les services de pollinisation et le rendement des pommes”, vise à analyser comment l’environnement autour des vergers, la structure des vergers et la manipulation des ressources florales peuvent améliorer les services de pollinisation et accroître la productivité des vergers.
La pollinisation représente un service écosystémique essentiel pour les vergers de pommiers, influençant la formation des fruits, le rendement et la santé globale des vergers. Ainsi, cette recherche examinera comment l’hétérogénéité du paysage et les structures paysagères, telles que les bandes de fleurs et autres caractéristiques végétales, peuvent soutenir les populations de pollinisateurs et optimiser l’efficacité de la pollinisation.
Le candidat retenu participera à des expériences sur le terrain, à la collecte de données et à leur analyse, avec pour objectif de comprendre l’interaction entre les ressources florales, l’activité des pollinisateurs et les résultats en matière de rendement des pommes. Ce projet doctoral offre l’occasion unique de contribuer à des pratiques agricoles durables par l’optimisation des services de pollinisation dans les vergers.
Tâches principales
- Réaliser des recherches sur le terrain dans des vergers de pommiers pour évaluer la diversité des pollinisateurs et les services qu’ils offrent.
- Étudier l’impact des caractéristiques paysagères et des ressources florales sur les populations de pollinisateurs.
- Analyser les effets des communautés de pollinisateurs sur le rendement et la qualité des fruits des pommes.
- Collaborer avec d’autres chercheurs, gestionnaires de vergers et parties prenantes pour mettre en œuvre et évaluer des interventions paysagères.
- Communiquer les résultats de recherche par le biais de publications, de conférences et d’activités de sensibilisation.
Le candidat retenu est attendu pour élaborer un plan d’avancement des travaux en vue de l’obtention d’un doctorat durant les premiers mois de son emploi.
Compétences requises
Le candidat doit répondre aux conditions d’admission au programme de doctorat à NMBU. Cela inclut une formation académique équivalente à un master de cinq ans, avec des résultats d’apprentissage correspondant au cadre de qualité norvégien, cycle II. Une solide formation académique pertinente et une maîtrise de l’anglais, tant à l’écrit qu’à l’oral, sont également exigées.

Rémunération et informations complémentaires

📝 Description du poste : About the positionFaculty of Environmental Sciences and Natural Resource Management at Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) has a vacant 3-year PhD-position related to pollination services within apple orchards, with a focus on landscape ecology.We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated PhD candidate to join our research team on a project titled “The effect of landscape scale habitat and floral resource availability on pollination services and apple yield”.This research aims to explore how the habitat surrounding orchards, orchard structure, and manipulation of floral resources can enhance pollination services and increase apple orchard productivity.Pollination is a critical ecosystem service for apple orchards, influencing fruit set, yield, and overall orchard health. This project will investigate how landscape heterogeneity and landscape structures, such as flower strips and other vegetation features, can support pollinator populations and improve pollination efficiency.The successful candidate will work on field-based experiments, data collection, and analysis, focusing on understanding the interaction between floral resources, pollinator activity, and apple yield outcomes.This PhD project offers a unique opportunity to contribute to sustainable agriculture practices by enhancing pollination services in apple orchards.
