Fonctions Générales
Le poste d’Associate Technician – Coating se concentre sur un environnement de fabrication dans les domaines de Surfacing, Finishing et Coating. L’individu doit suivre des normes établies et respecter les politiques de l’entreprise tout en maintenant une assiduité régulière.
Principales Responsabilités
Coating :
- Clipping : Fixer les lentilles dans des paniers pour commencer le processus de revêtement.
- Opérateur de Machine : Préparer et faire fonctionner la machine de revêtement pour l’application correcte du revêtement sur les lentilles.
- Inspection : Vérifier les lentilles avant et après le processus pour s’assurer de leur précision optique et cosmétique.
Finishing :
- Montage : Appliquer correctement des trous de perçage sur les lentilles pour assurer un ajustement précis dans les montures.
- Opérateur de Meuleuse : Utiliser des machines de meulage pour couper les lentilles à la taille appropriée.
Surfacing :
- Préparation des Lentilles : Préparer les lentilles pour le processus de surfacage, y compris le déballage et le marquage.
- Opérateur de Générateur : Utiliser des machines pour couper les lentilles selon la prescription.
Qualifications Requises
Cette position exige une capacité à travailler dans un environnement de production dynamique avec des interactions régulières au sein d’une équipe. Les candidats doivent être capables de lire et de comprendre des instructions simples en anglais, et posséder des compétences de base en mathématiques.
Compétences techniques :
- Vision de près, vision des couleurs, perception de la profondeur et capacité d’ajustement de la mise au point.
- Capacité de rester debout pendant 10 à 12 heures avec des mouvements répétitifs.
Qualifications Préférées
Une éducation secondaire ou équivalente ainsi qu’une expérience préalable dans un domaine similaire sont souhaitées.

All duties and procedures are to be performed according to the established standard and in compliance with all company and governing body policies. It is required that this position maintain regular, prompt attendance and availability for overtime as needed. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCoatingClipping: Clip and secure lenses into baskets to begin the coating processMachine Operator: Prepare and operate the coating machine to coat the lenses properlyLoad and unload sectors with lensesInspection: Inspect lenses prior to and immediately after coatings process to ensure that they are optically, cosmetically accurate, and in compliance with work ticketSandblasting: Disassemble and clean machines daily including the sandblasting of the partsFinishingMounting: Accurately apply drill holes to the lenses to ensure proper fit and alignment of the lenses and insert lenses into the frame while ensuring proper fit. May utilize the bevel wheel to remove the sharp edges of the lensEdging Operator: Operate a variety of edging machines to cut lenses down to proper size and shape to fit the appropriate frameFinish Layout: prepare an uncut lens for the edging process by outlining the center/alignment markings and affixing the chuck/blockTinting: Accurately tint all lenses going through the tinting departmentSurfacingLens Preparation: Prepare Lens for surfacing process which includes de-boxing of product, taping exposed lens, and tray upMachine OperatorTaping: Operate taping equipment to apply protective tape to the front of the lensesSurfacing Blocker: Utilize the blocking machine to accurately secure a block to all lenses going through the surfacing departmentGenerator Operator: Operate the generator machine used to cut the lenses to the correct prescriptionSurface Finer/Polisher: Operate the equipment used to fine and polish all lenses going through the surfacing departmentSpin Coat Operator: Operate the coating machine to apply spin coat and perform a cosmetic inspection of the lensesLens Washer: Hand wash and dry lenses followed by a brief cosmetic inspection of the lenses. Grasp lens with de-blocking cup and strike against table to remove block from lenses. Remove tape from lensesBASIC QUALIFICATIONSAble to work in a fast-paced production environment and regularly work with and communicate with others in a team
Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence in English.
Basic ability to add, subtract, understand decimal numerical sequencing, and accurately compare number and letter sequences
