Description du poste :
Le rôle de Firmware Engineer est essentiel pour concevoir, développer, tester et déboguer des logiciels pour les produits HPE. Les responsabilités incluent la création de firmware, de drivers, et d’applications EFI, ainsi que l’analyse et l’intégration de systèmes complexes. Ce poste requiert non seulement des compétences techniques avancées, mais également une capacité à collaborer avec des équipes multidisciplinaires.
Responsabilités principales
– *Création et mise à jour de firmware* pour des sous-systèmes, incluant DSP, code embarqué, drivers EFI et BIOS/UEFI.
– *Analyse et définition des besoins* en matière de codage et d’intégration selon l’architecture globale du produit.
– *Élaboration de plans de test* et documentation, identification des bugs et formulation de solutions.
– *Direction d’une équipe projet* composée d’ingénieurs en firmware et partenaires externes pour un développement fiable et rentable.
– *Communication et reporting* avec la direction et partenaires de développement sur le statut des projets et la résolution de problèmes.
– *Mentorat* des membres moins expérimentés de l’équipe.
Profil recherché
Formation :
– Diplôme de Bachelor ou Master en Informatique, Systèmes d’Information, Ingénierie Électrique ou domaine équivalent.
Expérience :
– Expérience en développement de firmware UEFI exigée.
Compétences requises
– Compétences en programmation C et Assembleur.
– Connaissances solides en matériel, firmware et logiciels.
– Expérience en développement de systèmes embarqués.
– Connaissance des normes industrielles telles que IPMI, USB, ACPI, SMBIOS, PCI/PCI-express.
– Familiarité avec les langages de script, notamment Python.
Compétences supplémentaires appréciées :
Les compétences en architectures Cloud, DevOps, développement Full Stack et sécurité sont un plus.

Develops software including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design.Management Level Definition:Contributions impact technical components of HPE products, solutions, or services regularly and sustainable. Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Provides expertise and partnership to functional and technical project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for achieving objectives. May provide team leadership and mentoring to others.Responsibilities:
- Designs enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of firmware, including DSP, embedded code, EFI drivers, EFI applications and BIOS/UEFI.
- Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution.
- Writes and executes complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs, and creates solutions for issues with code and integration into application architecture.
- Leads a project team of other firmware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for assigned systems portion or subsystem.
- Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding firmware design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
- Represents the firmware engineering team for all phases of larger and more- complex development projects.
- Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.
About you:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- UEFI firmware development experience
Knowledge and Skills:
- Programming skills in C and Assembly Language
- Strong firmware, software, and hardware background
- Experience with embedded systems development
- Knowledge of computer architecture
- Knowledge of industry standards including IPMI, USB, ACPI, SMBIOS, and PCI/PCI-express
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python
